Gine- Bleaching in the long term, doesn't it make the hair coarser and thicker? I found that to be the case

If you can afford it go for Laser....I do and the hair has not disappeared but it has reduced alot and if i need to I just bleach every now and then if I really need to

i have heard this about bleaching so many times. personally i have not experienced it and there is no scientific evidence to back it up. if someone would like to explain how they think bleaching can make hair grow coarser and more plentiful i would love to hear it.

the most likely reason is that facial hair increases with age anyway. so if your in your mid 20's and your comparing to what your hair was like in your late teens, it will probably be more plentiful regardless of what you do to it. a lot of women find that they start developing coarse chin hairs in their early 20's.

waxing/threading/plucking or any root removal method will increase the thickness of the hair on the face in some areas - chin, upper lip, sideburns and turn vellus hairs into terminal hairs.

http://www.hormonehelpny.com/column/hirsutism.htm

electrolysis is charged by time of treatment so the cost depends on how many hours you put in. if you just have a few stubborn chin hairs it's great - you would just need a few 5 min treatments (subsequent treatments when the hair comes back) after which they should be gone for good. if you're talking about a larger area, e.g. upper lip, you would probably be talking about a few 30min treatments in the beginning and then shorter treatments later to redo the hairs as they come back. once a follicle has been treated a few times it should be destroyed for good (it gets weaker each time so the hair becomes thinner with each treatment).
there is a lot to consider with electrolysis, anyone considering it needs to do their research thoroughly and go to a properly qualified and experienced person.

Bleaching doesn't make u're hair thicker, it just strips the hair of it's color (it has nothing to do with the root) So this theory is absolutely false.

Waxing tugs on u're skin, makes it loose and lax and prone to pre-mature wrinkles and loose skin.

Threading may cause tiny bumps under the skin and even over the skin at times, it's essential to apply a non-alcoholic astringent/toner after you thread followed by a "cooling mask" such as a multani mitti, cucumber/aloe mask.
