This is a chance for all your fashion mavens out there to put your creativity on display. Design your own outfits for Independence Day.
The Challenge: Design an outfit with predominantly green and/or white.
It would be great if you could put an actual outfit together, but sketches are great too. Be as detailed as you can be, and include a few sentences about your vision for the outfit. Who is wearing it, what fabrics are used and why, what kind of feeling will it convey, etc?

I designed a lot of different Patriotic clothes for myself...and i love them - they aren't all jhanda's but people can get the idea that they are made for 14th August especially - i wish i had an scanner :*( Even my laptop doesn't work these days otherwise i would have taken a picture and uploaded those...but i can't find my digital camera's software cd so i can't setup things on some other computer either..
I AM WHO I AM...(your approval isn't needed!)

Ok, there you go... nothing spectacular...very simple design...lol
Colored Sketch
I didn't have my paints so I couldn't quite get the colors I wanted to. Anyhow, on the shirt, the base color is same, the green of the top looks kind of different but it is supposed to be the same as the body. It is a simple long shirt with bead work both on the shirt and dupatta. Straight pants with green piping at the botton. I have to think a little bit more about the fabric. I think it will be something like jamavar or chiffon or silk. My vision is of unity that is why I have selected the close bead work. The two greens and white represent different colors of pakistan closely knitted. I think it should convey the feeling of freedom, prosperity, success, and peace. (This can only happen when keep our differences behind and unite for a cause.)
Who will be wearing this... ofcourse me
Oh and it has one of those back collar thingy, I am not sure what exactly it is called...lol

Excellent work, Lusi and Rupay
Thanks for sharing the patriotic spirit. When do we get to see these designs on the runway?

RH that is a lahol top for a female, no wait they both look like mens wear. You lose! no prize for you. Additionally I would much rather get Lusi's outfit than yours so lusi wins

^ hey! No way r they both mens outfits! This is an anti-loonghi conspiracy and i will not rest until i have fought for my cause and won!
LOONGHI's ROOOOOOLLL
Anyone who says otherwise, i shall consider them to be anti-punjab. Man, this voting is worse than the pakistani elections!
