Are you getting all of these clothes made or are going to decide from amnong these? I like both black ones and the purplish one.

Actually yes i an having all of the above made, the thing is that i don't usually order clothes, and I haven't for a long time, the last time I got clothes was when my mil brought some from Pak. ad althogh they were not bad, and some very nice, the measurements were totally off, which was not her fault, just I had lost some weight, and they were ot aware of it, so I gave a lot of those outfits away. So ow in the beginning of the summer, there were a lot of weddings coming up, so my husband said i could order clothes myself. i like this way, atleast I have control over what I am buying. So I got some for the weddings, but as Ramadan coming up, I needed some semi-formal/casual clothes so i got these made.
I also got some Lawn outfits. May seem a lot, but I look for bargains, i liek the designer stuff, but can't bring myself to buy those outfits for those prices, so i do a lot of research and looking efore making my mind.
Also I think one should also ocassionally check whats on e-bay, sometimes you'll be surprised you can find some excellent buys.

I love black and wear it to weddings etc as well. I hate it when people have those old fashioned ideas related to color, but since they are our elders, its hard to say anything. I remeber on my son's aqiqah I wore a small elegant jewelry set and my in laws were all-- wear something "bigger"!!

Lunghi, pronounced Loonghi. It is a lower garment consisting of one peice of cloth, traditionally worn in the Punjab (by men working in the wheat fields). However, if u have a fashionista's touch (like me) u can work the fabric and tie it in such a manner as to make it a fashion must have by all.
So if u want simple, go for a lunghi. If u dont have a decent top to matchi it, i would say pair it with a contrasting string vest.
Infinitely a better choice than a paper bag.

I have this orange sari that my MIL recently brought me, so I may wear that. I also have a very light and pretty pink gharara. No kaam, just a pretty shade of pink.

I wore sari twice so far after marriage and frankly I have had enough of them! How can anyone manage to walk in those things?
I am not sure what I will be wearing this year for Eid. Gotta go shopping.

desigirl, saris just need practice. The first time i wore one, it was sewed on and i couldnt walk straight. Now i tie my own pleats and can even do housework and namaz etc in saris. Wear simpler saris at home and you will get the hang of it.
