Girls what do you use on your eyelids before putting your eyeshadow on? Do you use a base or just apply the eyeshadow directly to your skin

I don't use any base, i directly apply the eye-shadow. :d but recently i saw a girl whose complexion was dark, but the way that she put base on her face was really nice and natural.. i love it. i don't know what are the good bases brands which are not so expensive as well. that girl's face wasn't shinning, it was a matt base i think with powder. can you suggest me any base or powder brand that looks natural on skin?

never directly - it just doesn't have the same intensity and wears off too quickly.
i use MAC bare canvas paint all over my lid and brow bone before applying shadow - the real colour of the shadow actually then shows up and has much more impact, it also helps it to last longer. if i want my eyeshadow to completely smudge-proof and not crease because of oil i use Urban Decay Primer potion on top of the paint and before shadow.

Bobbi Brown eye-primer! An eye-primer or even liquid foundation "set" with loose powder gives great results as the real pigment is visible. Must have!

Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

two faced eye insurance is very similar to urban decay but is very gud for eyes tht get creased easily or sweaty eye lids i luv the stuff..........i had to give my eye insurance to my aunty who has muved to islamabad, so am using mac paint pots at the moment they r also gud, base makes the eye shadow last longer an really brings out the colour of the eye shadow, i definitely recommend base b4 eye shadow.

applying base is very imp. u should always apply it before applying any shadow. it applies very smoothly and stays longer and dosen't crease and and shdow will look more shimmery. Urban decay eye primer is the best as a base.

I usually apply concealer as a base before shadow.
