I went for an upper lip wax about two days ago and the lady said my hair was too coarse to be removed so she had to make it super hot... anyways it was really red when I left the salon, but when I came home the redness turned into big red bumps... yesterday they were only on the left side and today they switched to the right....
What the heck can I do about it? It looks so gross... like herpes or some crap

I had the same thing like a couple of years ago, when the stupid lady said she'd wax it instead of threadig and I was like i guess, whats the difference because i wax everywhere else anyway. I come home and a day later the redness remains, and it's dry as hell, so much so that i had to have vaseline on it constantly all the time. I think she ripped the epidermis off. I was so embarassed to set foot outside cuz it just looked so bad. It took a good 5 days to feel normal.
Always stick to threading.
I don't know what to suggest, perhaps apply some low dose hydrocortisone cream, it'll take the inflammation away.
Save Pakistan.

Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

I stopped waxing my face after one try! Both of my cheeks were so red they looked like tomatoes and I was breaking out like crazy within a few hours of being waxed.
My mom told me to fill the bathroom sink with cold water, put a few ice cubes in it and dip my face in it for a few seconds at a time. It worked...my face calmed down considerably.
Never wax your face...always thread.

Always apply an alcohol-free astringent after threading/waxing! This closes u're pores and prevents any sort of bumps from forming. Riya u cud even apply calamine lotion that wud soothe it and take the redness away.
