I need one.
I know the summer is a long way yet, but I need to save up for it!
I dont want to wear any desi. I would prefer it to be full lengh as in a maxi, have some sort of sleeves, even cap sleeves would do.
What colours do you reckon will be in for the summer?
Oh and it must be from the U.K only. Need to try before I make my dad buy it for me.
Thankyou!

You're getting married?
it's the heart afraid of dying, that never learns to dance; It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance; It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give; And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live.

Indian Bridal Wear | Asian Fashion | Indian Clothing | Wedding Dresses | Redd Bridal Couture
anyhow i would go for a pale yellow, gold, white, off white, champagne like colors for the summer bride that doesn't want to go the desi traditional route.
Also get fabrics that are lighter, more airy looking because you don't want armpit sweat stains (i've seen a ton of brides with that) however a trick is to pin a panty liner inside the sleeve that will rest in your armpit.
there are desi gowns being made and jennifer aniston wore this one white dress with golden desi touches here's a link to a not so great pic:

i don't recall what award show it was but it's a chanel gown and was lovely on her.
Or since it's summer i'd go for a bright pink, electric blue, rusty orange.
also here's another website that i wouldn't order clothing from but i'd use for inspiration:
Maxim Styles

Milly who cares what colors will be in, in the summer? I personally think you pull bright colors off very well, not everyone can do that so you dont have to stick to pastels. Do you need the dress for a day time thing or a night time reception?

It's for the ceremony and the reception. I think the ceremony begins at around 2ish and im guessing that it will go on till the wee hours of the morning.
Uzzy, I have been to all three stores you mentioned. Most dressed I liked were too short. I want a long one.
Sweet_lil_hunnie, thank you so much for replying. I do like some of the outfits you have posted, however, I dont want any desi at all actually. I am desi enough for the wedding. (its not a desi wedding)

Sweet lil Hunnie..Milly will be a guest at the wedding.
Milly..check out Coast, they usually have lovely dresses, formal wear and accessories.

Get a nice neutral shrug to go with the dress, as it is hard to find sleeved maxi dresses. Monsonn normally have nicer dresses in come May time, due to Proms and the beginning of the wedding season. I would start saving now but maybe wait a little longer to purchase something.

I like the purple one and the greeny/yellowy one.

ohh well in that case a lot of bridesmaid dresses that are american come with a shawl to macth. i had to wear a dress with one and while the bride got married in church we wrapped the shawl around our shoulders and tied it in the back to kinda make a bolero/shrug out of it and keep our shoulders and back covered during the ceremony.
also jessica mcclintock dresses have a few with jackets even for young girls...that's pretty muslim friendly stuff
i really like the choices at cache so check out Cach: Home
alfred angelo has a ton of stuff as well

Someone told me that TK Maxx has some gorgeous maxi dresses in stock just now. Because they have been so huge in past seasons (and are back this summer) they have been handed to TK Maxx for the new collections.
