So, I'm fed up with my jet black hair and want to colour my hair......I'm confused about what colour to go for and whether to go for highlights or lowlights, have streaks and so on. With a fair skin tone I should be ok with most colours.......but am very confused.......what's the latest trend?
Gina your input welcome!

well, ive dyed my hair quite a few times and i think the best that i liked was either jus medium brown or have a hint of red that looks nice in the winter or even a tint of purple i know it doesnt sound right but it looks nice on jet black hair

I have black hair as well and i recently got partial highlights done in a beigish color. They look really good on my olive skin tone and i just love the look. I know you asked for the latest trend which i honestly dont care for, i am just happy my highlights turned out the way i wanted them to.

Like aali.m suggested hints look really good. Ive got red highlights done (well, my sister was checking out this new hair colour on me) and because my hair is jet black it turned out reddish-black which looks really cool, especially in the light. it gives depth to your hair without looking unnatural and fake
try out different ones but just dont dye it blonde! :S

Try 2 shades lighter than u're original hair-color, streaks aren't really "in" currently but people are still getting them done.A roasted brown (complete dye) wud give u the change u're looking for without making it really diff.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

LOL, no I'm not the type to go for blonde dye even if someone paid me!
Thanks everyone (Gina) I think I might go for coffee colour with golden highlights.....how does that sound?

Darker, single colors are "in" at the moment.. no one's really getting streaks or hi/lowlights done..
