so do u believe in gems/birthstones? have u bought ur birthstone and worn it also or did u buy any birthstone regardless of knowing the fact whether it wud suit u or not?do u believe that wearing a stone brings any change in ur life?do u think wearing stones can be lucky for you?
i have diamond, amethyst, garnet and pearl...amethyst is my birthstone and i feel it brings change in ur temper...pearl and diamond ..both r neutral for me i feel...!
i have heard from one of my aunts...whenever she used to wear her diamond ring she used to fight with her husband...another relative told...the first time she wore diamond her elder son died in a traffic accident...after 8 yrs she wore that diamond ring again and some thieves broke in her house and resulted in big loss...now its been 20 yrs and she has not worn it again and no such thing happened again...this sounds quite superstitious to me but to some extent its true also...anyhow what about ur experiences? do u believe in such stones?do share if any

No, don't really believe in it. I know that some tasbeeh designers choose particular stones such as turquoise because they are believed to have soothing effects. My birthstone for August is the Peridot, also known as faridot in arabic and it's bright lime green. Other sotnes I like include pinkish-red rubies, opals, turquoise, amethyst, sapphire.

there was this pundit that one of our friends believed in n he gav me this stone to wear all the time.i havn't used it ever but i might try puttng it in a ring n wear it.i even forgot wat its called but it was expensive n more of a stone than a gem.i mean not sparkly just plain solid.he said it would help me control my anger n the effect of planet mars in my hororscope.wAllah u alam

Apart from all the mystical stuff gemstones have their own healing powers.
I dont believe in the mumbo jumbo but do believe in their genetic makeup and how that effects body and mind.
My favourite is Smoky Quartz and Rutile, they both have some sort of a calming effect.
Actually I love all gemstones and own most of them

i've heard of turqoise having effects on people... bad dreams, bad luck, bad feelings, etc. my aunt swears that the chemical properties in turqoise affect some people positively and some people negatively. my birthstone is the amethyst but i'm not really feeling it... i think i'm just going to adopt the ruby instead :P
