If you're using a cool color combination such as (purples, blues, greens,) then I would suggest using silver embroidery.
Warmer colors such as reds and oranges will look better with gold embroidery.
Neutral colors such as white and black will look good with silver embroider or light gold embroidery.
As far as color combinations are concerned, you can do contrast colors. For example you can combine light blue and dark blue. Or dark purple and light purple.
If you want bolder combinations, you can combine red and blue. Or pink and purple. Red and Green. Black and White.

Navy/ink blue and turquoise... (silver kaam)
Lighter and darker shades of pink and coral (silver kaam)
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

Protoype, I have a few nayna outfits myself and they're beautiful! Ive had my eye on this outfit for a while and here is one thing I was thinking of doing:
You know how it fades into light then another color? I wanted mine to be a light purple, almost lavender color with the silver kaam on it. The other color I wanted to use was blue...light blue.
What do you think?

Lavender to aqua wud look nice, nothing "cheap" about it! PSQ, I'd do a deeper purple to a lavender at the bottom.

golden beigish with gold/copper/bronze kaam (yes its still stuck in my head )
black/grey with silver kaam
red/purple/burgundy with golden or silver kaam (or mixed)
black/pink/turqoise
mauve/lilac/lavender with silver/golden kaam
white with gold kam and red accents (like red piping)
off white with golden kaam and green accents
endless possibilities!

Yeah Proto, there are plenty of combinations to choose fro, but this dress is definitely beautiful.
Im hunting for a nice lavender/purple suit which is why I suggested it. The pictures you posted are very nice. I would do the dress in a light purplish/lavender color so the kaam can stand out but also compliment it.
Sooooooooooooo pretty!
