^ After a thorough check-up and assesment on their skin.. i'm sure they're not prescribing ointments and chemical-laden cream mixtures with steroids to people they have never seen let alone observed the damage and texture of skin?
As a therapist I shall warn the girls of using ointments on u're face that could cause severe reaction and leave them with perm damaged skin and furthur scarring. One mixture of medicines may work one one girl and the same mixture could cause a severe reaction on another.
Retin A is prescribed and not sold over-the-counter in most area's since it's potent. Retin A is always prescribed for 2 weekly and then once at night (after investigating the skin)
Retin A isn't supposed to be used along with any other creams unless and untill it's a 4% or less HQ gel.
Clioquinol is a hydrocortisone cream, which is a corticosteroid cream (steroid)

Hey Gina,
I have a beauty query that requires your wisdom. I bought this 100% vitamin E oil that also contains vitamin C and almond oil. I've heard that vitamin C is good in fading blemishes. Anyhow you think this will be effective in lightening blemishes?

A Vitamin C face cream/serum will increase collagen production and the rate of cell turnover.. this helps fight age spots, blemishes, hyper-pigmentation as well as acne scars. Please remember not to use them if u have inflamed/broken skin or red scars.
Wait for them to settle before u begin u're vitamin c creams/serums.

Thank you so much, Gina. I appreciate it. The serum that I brought is actually an oil which is a mixture of vitamin e oil, vitamin c, and almond oil. Based on the benefits you've listed above, I'm going to use it. I've only used it a few days with no side effects, but I just wanted to make sure with you. Thanks

Hi Gina..My mother's skin is getting chronically dry after her menopause..it's red, itchy and flaky..She has tried moisturizers but to very little help. She has an appointment with the doc, but it's until two weeks..Can you tell me if she can do something meanwhile to keep her skin calm, at least not irritable?

What moisturizer is she using? Rosewater will keep her skin calm.. just spritz it on her face and while her face is still damp she can apply a heavy moisturizer. Fragrance-free would be u're best and safest bet
Even cammomile tea (steeped and cooled) will keep her skin calm..

Skin changes with weather and hormonal conditions as well. Vitamin E oil capsules can be added into u're regular moisturizer.. u shud also take cod liver oil pills.
Scrub u're face just once a week.. and don't use any harsh soap/facewash..this will strip u're skin off of it's natural oil and leave u with dry patchy skin.

Applying it to her face
Mall, they will guide you and match the color for you as well. Be sure and tell them it's specifically for your eyes.
