If u have oily skin, u dont need a cream cleanser.. try one of Nivea's range.. one with sea minerals maybe? Oil of Olay foaming cleanser is another great one.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

hi gina - is it possible for u to list the weekly skincare regime e.g.
Daily: Cleanse, tone and moisturize
Day1: Exfoliate with a mild scrub
Day2: Perform deep cleansing with steaming etc.
Day3: Use any home-made mask
.
.
.
Day7:Use clay mask
Something on those lines plz. It would be of great help - Thx!

It's different for oily/dry and combination skin.. all skin-types shud cleanse everyday though and if u're exposed to dust and grime cleanse twice a day.
Every skin-type needs scrubbing and u may scrub 2-3 times a week, don't over-do and strip u're skin off natural oils.
Homemade masks for oily skins:
Neem paste + Mint paste, mix with lemon juice and apply
Cucumber juice + aloe vera
Oatmeal and milk
Homemade masks for dry skin:
Milk powder+ honey
Mashed banana + honey
Egg yolk and powdered milk
For combination skin:
Papaya pulp + Lemon juice
Milk powder + cucumber juice
Deep cleanse u're skin by steaming it and scrubbing it.. wash-off and apply u're toner (this helps seal u're pores) use a cleansing or massage cream (add a few drops of rosewater to make massaging easier) massage u're face till all the cream is absorbed and with damp cotton-wool wipe it off.

Hello Gina!
Hope you are well..
I want you to give me some advice for my skin problems.. i used to have a pretty good skin, with no acnes and overall it was very smooth. But in the past few months it has really gone VERY bad.. i didnt care much in the start but now its a total mess! I'm getting way too many pimples and they have left MANY marks on my face plus my overall skin looks pale.. what do i got to do? I've may events coming up in the end of march and i dun think i have much time please help!
EDIT: I've also got dandruff in these months.. perhaps its becoming the cause of my acne? If so, what should i do to get rid of it? Also i heard from someone that drinking green tea helps but some people suggests to stay away from it in summers(pk)? I've also got to loose some pounds!
P.S I'd like to prefer home remedies..

Waleeja, dandruff is a cause as well..u must treat u're dandruff by using a shampoo Nizorol is GREAT for dandruff. In my first post i've given do's and don't for acne prone skin. I'd suggest u see u're derm and have them prescribe u antibiotics to treat u're acne completely...
There's no use of treating marks and scars using topical remedies and gels..when u're acne is still active a re-occuring.. u'll still be getting scars and at the end u're skin will be uneven.
Cure u're acne first..it could be solved by antibiotics or topical creams, but a derm has to assess u're skin and prescribe u medication. The scars can be worked on later.
Nancy, if u have large/open pores skip the steam step..continue with the rest.

Thanks for responding back to my query, Gina.
I don't get much pimples now.. just a one or two in a week and that too cos i didnt care much about my skin.. and i was like drinking only a glass per day, with no fruits/vegs.. i do have an app with dr but thats next week.. wont that be too late? that's why i wanted to do something with the scars till then.. just to lighten them a bit..

Tiger, invest in a GOOD lip-balm.. blistex, mango lip butter or one with shea butter it heals and keeps the area soft and supple.
If u have broken skin.. then please stay away from harsh chemicals and avoid them.. no salicylic/glycolic peels..no micro-derms..no alcohol based astringents either.
Waleeja, one or two a week is still a lot.. have them treated before u work on u're scars..once again treating scars and not u're acne has hardly any effect on u're skin..u'll continue to breakout and they'll continue to leave behind scars.
Mall, I've answered u on the first page..
itisme, vitamin E cream doesn't leave u're skin very oily and it gets absorbed really fast.. it's safe to use on oily skin.

Which ones would you recommend?
