I am quite taken by Smashbox HALO Hydrating Perfecting Powder with Brush's marketing...So I googled the reviews...unfortunately that did not help...coz I read both extremes...some claims it's "THE ONE" you have been looking for all your life....While others claim that it's just one more thing to get you to waste your money....
With $75 price tag I'm a bit hesitant to just give into impulsive buying....I'm wondring if anyone here has tried it or know someone who has tried it....
Basically I am looking for reviews....is it really worth the cost....
OR if you guys know of any other great - tried and tested Finishing products??
If I ever wear foundation I use Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent (around $45), which is an extremely lightweight, sheer & silky setting powder....I have no complains....Just saw the HYPE about Smashbox HALO and it piped my interest.....But then I am not your daily make-up user....
Oh...this is basically a finishing product....Here's what Smashbox has to say about it's product...

hmm i dnt knw abt the smashbox collection but i just tried this amazing Hydration tinted moisturizer by Hourglass and its awesome.. I went to sephora and asked them for a sample and they gave me some in a little container.. and now im all ready set to buy it.. its $55 and its protects from both UVA and UVB rays..
I would suggest u going to Sephora and maybe asking them for a little sample of the Smashbox HALO. Im sure they will tell you whats best for your skin type and what will work better for you!

You probably read my reviews on Sephora for this product coz honestly IT IS THE ONE!! I swear by this product. I've tried many major brands including Dior, Chanel, Estee, Clinique, Lancome, Stila, MAC. But none were as lightweight and natural looking as SmashBox's halo. I bought it from Sephora a few days before i came to pakistan to attend a cousin's wedding. I hadn't even planned on buying it, but it had been launched two days ago and the sales person wouldnt stop gushing about it.
Anyways i wore this foundation on all pre wedding, wedding and post wedding functions and my skin simply glowed. Ppl kept gushing how fresh i looked and how"Amreeka ka pani" suited me eheheh.
Here's how i use it. After cleansing and toning:
1. Moisturize( very important)
2. Apply SmashBox primer
3. Apply the halo

I personally use it very lightly, but my mom has severe melasma problem and halo did a good job covering up all the spots. i would suggest, you head to Sephora and ask them to help you apply it.
