Mellow

my mom brought me dry amla, reetha and Shikakai from Pakistan for my thinning lifeless hair. Can someone please tell me how to use these for best results? Should I not use my regular shampoo when using this treatment? As anyone used these and saw results?

yes, i've seen a few ppl who got nice results after using this amla, retha n shikakai.

if u have alll of these in powdered form, then what u need to do is, put some of amla, reetha n shikakai in some boiler, fill it with water, n then boil this until the water is almost half of the actual amount. Then, there are like two ways

1. Either u can stain the water and throw the amla, reetha, shikakai and just simply wash ur hair with that water ( ur shampoo routine doesn't need to be affected by this i mean u can shampoo ur hair as u normally do)

2. U can use the whole mixture ; the water with amla, reetha, shikakai powder in it, and wash ur hair with the whole mixture. The problem in this way is that the powder stucks in the hair n when u comb/brush ur hair, the powders keeps on falling here n there, was a bit messay for me though.

And now, IF u don't have amla, reetha, shikakai in powdered form, u have these 3 herbs in kind of their solid form, then not to worry well what one of my cousins used to do was, she took a piece of cloth ( any) and she put some of amla, reetha, shikakai in it, and then she tied the piece of cloth ( making a bag kindof a thing, getting my point?) after this, she did the same as i told u above, she put that bag ( with amla, reetha, shikakai) in a boiler, filled with water n boiled this for sometime, n then after cooling the water, she used to place THAT bag over her head, kept it dipping for a few times in THAT boiled water n placed THAT bag over her head for a few times ( ofcourse it has the essence of amla, reeth n shikakai now) and then after this, she simply washed her hair with that water ( u can pour that boiled water over ur hair and can let it be there for like 5 min. if u have time, so that it gets to the roots, also u can massage this mixture in ur hair for a few min, as per u like)

i hope i explained the process pretty well

good luck... may ur hair becomes very pretty

U can boil them and steep them in oil.. then strain and use it on u're roots or u may make a hair-pack out of it by mixing it with yoghurt and an egg yolk

Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

hello,
these three powders eliminate sikri (excess dead skin) and shine hairs.
one should mix the powders with water for a night and when you shampoo and condition your hair you can wash your hair with that water additionally.
for lifeless hair you could use shampoo and conditioner containing panthol which volumes the hair and message your hair once a week.
i hope this helps.
ps. make sure your drain the water properly and leaving no powder residue in it otherwise like said b4 it will stick to hair bcz sikakai is drying agent

here's an additional tip,

well my mum makes herbal oil out of these three herbs amla, reetha and seekakai,

Procedure
add 1 tbsp of each herb (powderd form) to 1 litre mustard oil, and let this oil boil unless the u can see the powder in it turns dark or blak in color n u can also sence the sharp smell of this mixture aswell . then just cool it down and stain the oil, throw the used powder as this oil will get all the essence of the herbs. n fill the oil in any jar/ bottle. and ther u go u have the herbal oil ready to use at ur home.

Benifits
It stops the hair falling
removes dandruf
add shine to ur hairs

myself each time use this oil on hairs and mashallah every one asks me whats the secret of ur healthy hairs n every time i suggest this oil to every one who asks.

oil ur hairs 2wice, 3ice a week, try to shampoo as same max 3 times a week, frequent use of shampoo also helps hair falling frequently and making them dry.for dryness or rough hairs i take another treatment thats also herbal. but if i'll add it here my post will be too long to swallow, hehe

Gud luck with ur hairs

PS: U can also use dry herbs instead of powdered form. it leaves the same effect.
