Hi, i was wondering if anyone has ordered from bharatplaza before?

As i placed an order for a saree for a wedding back in mid Feb, and they still have not posted it yet! they said it takes 30 days. Fine but its been like 36 days now. I need the saree for like in less than 2 weeks.

Everytime i email them, they say yes its almost ready and so on.

Do you think i should call them? Even if i did, it would mean calling them in the early morning because of time difference. argh. I hate t when it doesnt go to plan.

thanks everyone,

random_girl

actually even I have emailed them a few times to ask about a couple of sarees I am interested in buying, but so far I have got no reply back. I was just wondering whether the sarees they have online are their own designs or if they are going to copy them like bargello does. random_girl, can you please tell me what their sarees look like in person once you get your order?

Hi, yeah i will let you know! lets hope it comes before the wedding! I have ordered previously from Cbazaar before, and one saree looked completely different to the picture, while another one was actually same as picture.

Yeah will get back to you once the saree if it actually decides to arrive.

I called bharatplaza today, and omg they said the saree will 'definitely' be shipped by monday! they said that almost a month ago! so i put my brother on the phone, and he shouted and demanded a refund lol, and then they say it will be here by saturday. Lets see what happens.

Random_girl, they finally replied back to me too. Apparently the saree I thought was a lehnga saree is a regular saree, but I cannot figure out how they draped it on the model so it looks like a lehnga saree. My roommate and I were up so late last night trying to figure this out, and we do have our theories but I decided to email bharatplaza back and ask them to describe the draping method used on the model :S

You could post the link to the saree? I could try to help figure this out?

Maybe its just the saree, as now on some sarees the work on the bottom/middle bit where you fold it? is designed so it looks like a lengha saree but its actually not?

Hope that made sense!

No it still has not arrived! they havent sent me a notification either telling me the saree has been shipped. It has been 40 days. So 10 days late already. Like is aid above, if it has not arrived by this friday/saturday i will have to demand for a refund because my bhabi needs it for a wedding next week.

Here is the picture of the saree

Our theory was that if it was not a lehnga saree then it must be a butterfly pallu saree, and instead of putting the pallu over her left shoulder they just brought it under her arm and pinned it to her right shoulder, and then brought the rest of the pallu to the front and tucked it in. I know it probably does not make any sense but if you look at the saree (border alignment etc), u would probably understand what i am saying.

well, I got another reply from them and they said that it was just a regular saree and was draped around the model in a lehnga style. My friend said that she doesn't know whether we would be able to drape it in the similar fashion, and she would know, she owns a 100 sarees of her own. Anyways, we have decided to buy something different and I am now just waiting for your order to show up so you can tell me how it turned out before I place mine.

Yeah i agree with you! i think thats how they have done it. Looks really confusing! Pus you can kind of tell if you look closely they have some how pinned it or something under her arm.

^ my saree is posted but still has not arrived! i did email them complaining, but they just said customs made it late so not their fault.

its still coming before wedding, but my bhabi wont actually see it until we go up as she is going before us. argh..

I wil deffo let you know how it turned out, unlikely event it comes after i go away i will get back to you in a couple weeks.

The saree finally came today!!

Though we had to ring and argue, it was worth it! The saree is abs gorgeous!! This is the saree we ordered

Enchanting Rama Green, Wedding Sarees, Jodhpuri Sherwani, Wedding Saris, Bollywood Outfits, Ghagra Choli, Latest Indian Sarees, India

The saree is exactly the same as the picture, the same colour the same work. In fact i would say it is more gorgeous in real life.

so i think as long as you order well in advance before ur special occasion-im talking 2 months, you should go for it.

random_girl

I dont know how to attach photos, or else i would have took photos of the actual saree just to show you.
