^ black would go nicely a well for a more stronger contrast.
Keep in mind that red hair dye is known to fade the fastest. So use a shampoo that helps to seal red hair color for longer.

deep brown or black will be low lights  i asked for highlights meaning lighter colours than red itself.
ok so lemme tell u lil bit more.
im gonna dye my hair pure intense red colour. im gona colour over my already dyed light auburn sorta red so the colour will be kinda intense i jst wana break the intensity with sum highlights.
remember im gonna dye my hair warmer tone of red so tell me sum colours that go with warm shades. no black or ash blonde plz!

Colors that go with warm red would be black and brown. Or if you want more contrast, a deep brownish-blond. There's little else besides these three colors.
I've dyed my hair burgundy a few times, which is like a purply-brown. U could try that.

black and brown go nicely but im asking for highlights so i cant consider those.
and im bored of burgundy i've dyed my hair burgundy like so many time.
