Their prices are ridiculous. I wore the Karma Jahan-Ara Bridal on my wedding and let's just say that I did not pay $7,500! Before that I was very very close to ordering the Karma Malika Bridal and that was also not $7,500. Therefore, I will not be purchasing any outfits on their online store.
But it's great to see them selling online. Atleast you see better pics of the outfits.
UGH! and i really hate these ads in the middle of the GS threads!

^yeh. i mean i havent heard of any Karma bridal costing Rs.1 lakh. kudos to them if they got their dresses for that much. however, ive heard around 2 lakh when the rate was around $1 to Rs.65. but those prices are ridiculous.
i also liked a sari that they dont have on the site that they quoted Rs.95k at the time.
the only reasonable things i see are the Karma Pink semi-formals. those prices are somewhat closer to what i saw at the store but i still wouldnt purchase those semi-formals because they dont even look good.

the purple sari right??? i was quoted 1 lakh for that one....and it had lots of kaam--VERY ELEGANT.....u know wht ive noticed--the website pixx dont do justice to the designs/embellishments/color of the outfit. Your's looks nothing like the pic they have--in ur photos it was vibrant and regal...because of the website pic I said I didnt want that one....

Yeh I agree. Really pretty! but it's so played out now. the shirt was all over kehkashan last summer. which sucks. i love looking at this site haha. u can actually see everything. it's much easier to see what karma has to offer now without going to their store.

haha we have our own lil convo going on. yeh it was the purple sari. gorgeous!
yeh i agree these pics dont do justice but atleast this site makes it easier to look at all the dresses than the other one.
IMO karma dresses are breathtaking in person (can't say that for their latest collection).

YEAH I KNOW! they are big oppurtunist i guess...
as for my cousin's its not online... it has almost like half moon things going on... and i was there with her on her second appointment and it was 1 lakh.
then the other cousin i am talking about, she actually got the dress for her bhabhi to wear on her walima. it was ivory with dull godl and silver work.. like a full shirt and a heavy lehnga and all the works.. again 1 lakh.
then the friend who just got married.. she was wearing a new karma bridal which i have never seen online..
sorry ppl cant post pics they might have issues...
i guess online enquiries are potential rip offs.. lol sitting so far away they can charge u i guess...
its wise to come down here.. talk to them haggle a bit over the price...
Another cousin of mine got married 3 years ago.. she went to hsy .. he quoted her 2.5 lakhs for a dress. the dress btw was amazing work EVERYWHERE! awesome.. she found it two expensive went looking around other designers.. but decided she loves tht one...
Next time she went to order and asked the price AND he said 1 lakh ?!??!!? i know right!
but thats the fact.
These dresses in COST terms cost no more than 30-40 thousand MAX! so i guess its upto the designer to charge however much they want.. or rather however much discount they wanna give...

The purple sari was really pretty--especially that deep purple hue
are their semi-formals nice--the ones form Karma Pink--cuz again they look just ok in the pix, but cant tell since I havent seen them.
ahhhh think its easier to tell a Pak relative to get items from this website and parcel them. Im sure the prices would be much more reasonable
hmmm do they have more designs for bridals????? seems as if they keep on showing a few similar patterns/motifs/styles......

^i really didnt like anything from Karma Pink. It's just not my taste I guess. It has nothing to do with the price, the dresses just don't appeal to me at all.
And definitely, if you like something have a relative go haggle the prices and send the dresses to you cuz the site is a rip-off.
and yeh they have a lot more bridals. when i went to go pick up my bridal last summer, they had a Karma bridal exhibition there and i still have not seen those dresses anywhere in this forum or on their sites. but even those dresses had similar motifs to the older collection. though i still loved my dress more than any other dress in their new collection.

that is sooo true! Karma has stuck to the SAME motifs and a motif technique in general... the only good thing about them for me is their color combo. Period!
Other wise you can spot a karma from a mile and not in a good way...
