As in some people apply it on their face at night, or used in facials etc. Please can someone tell me what the benefit's of using it are, or the purpose.
One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

I use a little misting bottle to spray rose water on my face before I apply my moisturizer (I let the RW dry naturally and then moisturize), and I get tons of complements on my skin. It helps to tone your skin, close pores, and its very soothing and balancing and good especially for sensitive skin. Regular use is also supposed to help as part of overall anti-aging for skin. Since I started using it I noticed brighter skin, more even skin tone, and I hardly get any blemishes, and those I do get are really small and are not inflamed.
I highly recommend it!

It turned my face red like a dull colored tamater
Just be careful do a patch test first. Maybe, I'm allergic to rose water don't know but I had a mild rash, very mild but still.

Applying chilled rose water to your face is refreshing. It is basically used as a toner and minimizes/closes the pores on your skin.

Good stuff, highly recommended. Also use it myself on a regular basis. Very soothing as an eye mask, soak cotton pads with rose water and place on eyes, very relaxing.

Are you kidding me? It does more than just give me rose-tinted dreams. It provides me with rose-tinted vision!!! Now I view this world and life with a rosy outlook. Every scowl is now a smile. Every shout sounds like laughter. Every garbage heap is like a rose garden. Every problem now seems like a piece-of-cake. Truly potent stuff....this rose-water! Everything is just so darn beautiful and glorious.

Ok, so the rose water that you get from the grocery shops ... is that the one that you guys use? the one that is also used in cooking?

Yeah, some people also use a few drops of rose water in cooking....in chawal, kheer, kormas, etc.
Yeah, you can find it easily from your local desi market. And you just stick it in the fridge. And after you wash your face, you apply rose water on your face with a cotton ball (like a toner). And then you moisturize. It feels really refreshing when you apply it chilled.
Tried to look for it today at the supermarket and couldn't find it. So, now I'll have to get it from the local desi market.

I only found out about rosewater a couple of years back, when one of my friends bought me a bottle of Amanda Lacey's persian rosewater ... she swear by it and since then i am addicted to it! i use it under moisturiser, throughout the day for a quick pick-me-up refresher for my skin, and it's really soothing for eyes when they get dry....
And seriously, after using it for a couple of years, i don't feel the need to wear any base, as the tone of my skin has improved....
