Ever fee like you're stuck in a beauty rut? normally i do makeup about 2/3 days and then go bare faced for a few more..its like..i do the same makeup day after day... moisturizer, bare minerals foundation, heavier concealer under the eyes, eyeliner, fill in my brows, blush on, lipstick etc. (okay wow that's ALOT). maybe only thing that changes is my lipcolor.. i hardly have time in the AM to do very much. I mean I like what I do, but it gets a little boring/repetitive..i need ideas for a change...

You haven't mentioned eyeshadow. I've seen your eyeshadow pics and you're very good at it. So play around with eyeshadow.
And how about different colors of eyeliner. I've tried the standard black and brown eyeliner. But I've also had fun applying green and blue eyeliner. I've even applied liquid glitter eyeliner...and it looks cute. I saw the rep at Ulta wearing glitter eyeliner during the day time....and it did not look over done at all.
You can also try different colors of blush, although I don't think it would make a dramatic difference. The eye makeup and lipstick tend to give you more variety.
You can even experiment with luminizers/highlighters. And if you want to change your overall look....you can extend it to hairstyles, jewelry, and clothes as well. All these components work together to create a different look.

Saraaaaaa I feel the same way sometimes - make up "routine" if you will, is so repetitive. But go shopping for make up at a different place, not your usual places, and play around with new products and colours.
I did something like that - it's a little different and I feel better!

Woman, I know how you feel. It happens to all of us...we get this make up itch and the only thing that will satisfy you right now is some fun product that makes you look and feel slightly different and updated.
I usually play around with my makeup a lot. I switch around my mascaras and layer them to see what combination can give me the fake eyelash look. I try new eyeshadows that are subtle but fun. I also try different looks...like these days Im into brown pencil eyeliner because the weather is nicer out and brown eyeliner around the eyes with some light mascara is just perfect! I also sometimes do a completely neutral face with jet black, thick eye liner...thats always fun! I love red so I try some shocking shade of red for a while. In the summer, I love pink so these days Im wearing a lot of pink lipstick.
Perfume is a GREAT way to feel like you just added some oomph to your beauty ritual! Try Chloe, Flowerbomb (its an awesome summer scent!), Narciso Rodriguez (always a favorite), Emilio Pucci's Aqua, Dior's Miss Cherie is really pretty...and a bunch more!
Hope I gave you some ideas...

it's time like those when one finds new ways to wear her hair, or learn how to do the milk maid braid trend, paints their nails a diff color to go with the season, picks out more accessories or less, whatever.

I would say for a quick pick-me-up that will really change your look, go for a coloured eyeliner... it adds a real nice shot of colour on your face and is so quick but can change your whole look...
If i'm going for a real bright colour, i usually line the outer corner of my lower lid and blend... i think a shot of colour eyeliner looks better on the bottom eyelid...
Sara, what colour are your eyes? Brown eyes look great with deep purples, teals, navy, copper, bronze, champagne, khaki-green... so get to experimenting

^ Is that dramatic colour change due to the weather, or is that with cosmetic intervention ? As my eyes are blue and darken in winter/lighten in summer....
To be honest, brown eyes can carry any colour off....
Hence why i usually wear brown lenses

hmmmm... I have an idea: why don't you play with only one of your features on one particular day, for instance, monday = dramatic liner with nude lips, tuesday = red lips and pearly eyes with mascara, wednesday = peachy/rosey cheeks with glossy lips and soft eye pencil inside your eyes, and etc...
hope that helps... all these looks can be achieved very quickly in the morning...
you can also try introducing another color into your routine, new fragrance, new hairstyle

The glitter eyeliner is the one by Urban Decay. I am a huge fan. For evenings you might want to put on black eyeline first and then the glitter one on top. It looks amazing otherwise it doesn't show up much.

u could do winged eyeliner/cat eyes/ cleopatra eyes
u could try eyeliners in different colors like someone else suggested...bronze, brown, deep greens and purples.
i sometimes skip lining the top lash line and only line the bottom one and smudge that a bit for a more edgy look.
but right now u should be studying.... :P

I suggest colored eye-pencils! Line the outer corner of u're upper lid and the lower one and u have a diff look! U may even use them in u're waterline as well..
A light/frosted pencil close to u're lashline (inner part) and a darker color on the outer part really opens the eye and looks nice.
I'm SICK of makeup! I'm just using sunscreen (tinted) and kajal..
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

is it bad to be stuck in a rut? if I find something that works for me.. I usually just stick to it until one day I lose a lipstick or something and then i have no choice but to just switch it up

He'll get over it once he gazes into your glitter lined sparkly eyes.
