I love the large bags that we've been carrying around for some time now...but i am confused when it is inappropriate to carry a large bag and a clutch is more suited for the occasion - this is obviously excluding formal dinners and weddings!!
but if ure casually going to someones house to meet them, in the evening, do u carry a large bag or a clutch!!! help!! im going crazy with my wardrobe problems!!!

A large bag is suitable for everyday errands and your normal running around.
A medium sized bag or casual clutch is perfect for a friend's place or just a dinner out.
A smaller and formal clutch is ideal for weddings, parties and so on.

first of all the world isn't going to end if you wear the wrong bag lol chill out.
I think bigger bags are great in the day time, but when you go to other people's homes if you have the time to change to a smaller bag it's nice because we've all been at a gathering and had tons of womens giant bags to step over on the floors and such. Wristlets and clutches are great but also work in the daytime. If i know i'm going to a crowded restaurant or going to a concert in the park i'd just rather have a smaller bag just so that i'm not smackig people with it as i walk by.
also if you do want to bring a bigger bag to an evening occasion just go for a darker color due to it being an evening thing.
Don't mess with Texas...

lol no its not about wearing the wrong bag, its about planning out my wardrobe so i dont spend too much money on a bag which i wont be carrying out at night...for daytime, one or 2 large bags in neutral colors will do for me coz my clothes r usually bright colored...
so i was thinking whether to buy on of those large bags in a couple of hot colors like ferozi or hot pink but wasnt sure whether it would be right to carry a clutch or big bag
i love the big bag trend, hope it doesnt end any time soon!!!

me 22222222! love the big bags and clutches equally. i think the big bags look trendy and cool whereas the clutches look sleek and sophisticated esp if u go to a party or some event. i personally have 2 big bags in blck and white and some clutches in different shades like beige, golden, red, brown etc... its not clutch clutch, its normal size clutch, not the ones u see celebs wearing (thaz toooo small and only gud for hi fi parties).... anyway, rockon, i also hope this big bag trend dusnt end sooooooooon!!!

and yeah rockon, when u go at someone's place take normal size handbag/purse. i think big handbags wudnt look that pleasant when u go to just meet someone. b casual and wear a nice matching or semi-matching purse/handbag. thaz what i do always. i have thousanddddddss (literally, hehehe) handbags. clutches, shoes... u name it!!! my wadrobe is full of this stuff... which makes my hubs so pissed off.. he thinks i dun use them. i, however, remind him that if i buy a shoe, ultimately i DO use it.. the thing is, the shoe, handbag has to wait till it matches my dress and once it does i wear it.. sometimes some shoes/handbags have to wait for months to years for me to wear em ... hehehe
big bags are gud for picnics, shopping, hanging out with friends etc... purse/handbags(normal size and shape) gud for meeting someone at home, and clutches or nice purse/handbags for parties n events.

I'm not too fond of clutches on a daily basis because I don't like to carry things...which I might accidentally forget somewhere. I like my hands to be FREE, lol. For everyday use, I prefer a purse with straps that i hang on my shoulder as opposed to a clutch. However, I don't mind clutches for special occasions.
I'm very picky about purses. I don't like overly large bags....because i tend to find them unattractive. And also I don't feel comfortable carrying a large bag around especially when shopping. I prefer smaller bags because I think they look more stylish and cute. And I have a thing for rectangular/paper-bag shaped purses because it allows me more freedom to stuff things.
Anybody else like that? I'm picky *sigh*.
