How do you get rid of tan lines? I
s there anything I use besides sunblock and sun screen - both of which is are not strong enough for the Florida sun (in my opinion)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I've got zebra style tan on my feet from wearing gladiator sandals...it looks like i was drunk whilst applying fake tan
I just make sure i moisturise a lot, and exfoliate regularly with sea salt and lemon and scrub away

Nothing works better than tomato's.. rub them directly onto the tan.. takes time though.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

My hands and feet tan easily but I find if I get a loofah and exfoliate it tends to fade away.

Me too dildirani - my hands and feet look like they belong to another person. The worse is my legs because the don't get exposed to the sun - and they are just pastey white. (I wasn't kidding about the zebra part)
So do you exfoliate everyday - what do you use - every day body scrub?

I am like that. I have pastey white arms and legs and then when I tan, the skin on my hands and feet get darker. What I do is soak my hands and feet in warm/lukewarm water and then use a pumice stone or loofah to exfoliate. Every other day in the Summer. Every day could be too harsh. Body scrubs are good but loofah or pumice stone is more effective.
After exfoliating I slather myself in a thick moisturising cream or body butter. Keep applying the sunscreen too whenever you go out.

Please don't use a pumice stone on u're arms and legs it's too abrasive and will cause minute scratches.. that would lead to perm scarring.. a loofah or body polish/scrub is safe to use everyday.

When I went to Turkey 2 years ago, my feet went really dark and I tried everything to no avail. However, by accident after a long day I soaked my feet in diluted dettol, and this actually worked really well and got rid of a two year tan. So you could try that.

I know it sounds really weird. I was meant to PM and tell you about this I remember you I discussing how to get rid of tan from feet (think you said you had the same problem whenever you visit your husband in Miami?1?)
It was a discovery by absolute accident - I'd been trekking on the day and my feet were killing - so saoked them in dettol for about 30 mins and the next day my feet were free of the tan. But if anyone does try this, it has to be diluted dettol.

I have used a pumice stone for years and I do not get scratches or scarring.
The dettol solution sounds good

A pumice stone works wonders on callouses and dead/dry skin.. however they cause tiny scratches to normal skin which after sometime, turn dark and patchy.
Some people have used a pumice stone to dislodge ingrown hair from their arms and legs and did perm damage (scarring).
Loofah/body scrub is a safer option.. as they're less abrasive.
I've never heard of the dettol remedy.. should try it out the next time I get a tan
