hi ppl...

my dilemma is this: i want to get a gharara stiched, but i want a long shirt to go with it coz longer shirts eriously suit me much much better than the shorter ones....

now if i make a gharara with the goat at the knees, the shirt has to end at least 2 inches above the knees, so that makes me look heavy...

so i was thinking of getting a farshi gharara made, coz i think the goat in those is like 6 inches above ur ankles or something? so then i can have a much longer shirt???!!

but i dont have ANY idea as to what a farshi gharara looks like from front and baCK...so any pics wud be much appreciated!! any idea how much cloth i need for it???

also, what is ur take on the current trend of long shirts on ghararas??? wont a long shirt which ends BELOW the goat look kind of silly i think it wud spoil the look of the traditional gharara if i get a gharARA with the goat at the knees and the shirt ending way below it?!

Dreaming

It doesn't have to be farshi to be worn with a long shirt. There's also the dhaka pajamas (like ghararas but no gote) and then there are the delhi cut ghararas, that have the gote about 6-8 inches up. Unless you're the bride, a farshi is probably very impractical. Even for brides -- it's hard to wear again.
