Im totally in love with these new shades MAC has..
The question is, what colored clothes would go with such a vibrant color?

I think red lips look especially good with neutrals, pseudo-neutrals, and greens. So, as others have said, black, white, gray, beige, navy, brown, taupe, olive, etc.

This reminds me of a question I had...my sister who is 21 is wearing cream with red and silver accents on my nikaah. Is it OK for her to do red lips being 21?

^ why not? i say, she should go for it! and to stop it from looking too vampy, she can opt for a glossier red look instead of a matte or solid cream one.

Reds with blue undertones look much nicer on desi skins than reds with orange undertones.

Go for something plain and understated in terms of clothing. White shirt, black skinnies, high heels... maybe a string of pearls and a thin stroke of liner and blush. Grey and an allblack ensemble would look tres chic as well... even a neutral beigy-tan top. Stay away from oranges, corals, pinks, and reds in clothing. Red nails and lips are a big no-no and a bit much too, especially if the two shades arent exact.
Whatever you wear, im sure you'll pull it off Just make sure you get the best shade of red for your complexion and tone

i love love LOVE red lipsticks! i probably have 10 different shades of red....corals, berries, true reds, brick reds..etc.....i wear them with any and every color...
the ones are particularly like are yellow, green, ivory, black, taupe, red, purple, well...basically red lips look great with anything you wear....dont forget to blot your lips...looks so much better.
Thats what she said.

My delimma is that my lips are so red that no matter what color I wear, they end up looking red! I have put foundation on them and what not, it still doesn't work. I only go for neutral shades or pinks but no use. So now Im all excited to wear red for this wedding Im going to! Let's see how that turns out.
