I love the make up forever foundations. They're so perfect for my skin, it barely looks like i have anything on and yet it gives amazing coverage.
I'm using the body shop's glow enhancer tinted moisturizer which is like a primer base... and it's really good.
Not a big fan of MAC. I think there stuff is too cakey, and the colours are all wrong for Pakistani skin.
Oh and I LOVE the body shop's lip balms especially the strawberry one.

i find mac's foundations/cover ups to be way too OTT. they give you a pancake look in pics.
if you want heavy coverage, go for mac.
(i only use MAC's concealer, and that too for ocassions, not on a daily basis).
body shop's stuff is light and wearable but they dont have a good selection as far as desi skin tones are concerned.
a friend of mine got liquid foundation from the pharmacy which was really natural looking and gave perfect skin tone, from shoppers drugmart (its by Boots No7). i chkd it out, and lo and behold, they had the perfect range in terms of colour. i got a liquid base which is perfect for my desi complexion. the pressed powder i use is from chanel. --- both are light coverage as i really hate thick pancake makeup.

MAC cosmetics are a much higher standard than the body shop cosmetics (i have tried a few things from the body shop and they are not good at all)
for a very natural foundation i use the MAC select sheer liquid foundation from MAC and apply with a foundation brush and I have tried many high end brands but it's too difficult to find a perfect color match
i use NC 30 shade and it matches perfectly and my sister uses NC 40 which is a bit darker and suits her perfectly
don't buy any NW shades because those will not suit our asian skin
as for MAC being too much... yes a lot of their foundations are heavy coverage especially the creamy ones that come in the compact and studio tech was the worst of them all (looks too ashy) but those are not meant to be for an everyday look anyway
also, i have heard a lot of good things about the make up forever foundation but if you have even a little bit of dry skin it looks very patchy .... i know it works wonders for people with normal to oily skin but doesn't suit dry skin at all

Bodyshop's foundations are way better than MAC's. However, MAC do have good blushers, lipsticks, glosses etc.

i love love MAC. Ive tried everything from channel, estee lauder, etc. But MAC suits me the best. And honestly for everyday i just dot some on my face and blend with my fingers just like i do moisturizer, it lasts me all day long. I dont touch up at all. I still want to try MUF because ive heard so much about it.

I have to agree that MAC cosmetics beat Body Shop for durability.
But yes....MAC is a lot heavier and good for a "made up" look rather than natural, underplayed beauty.
So it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Boot's No. 7 brand is also pretty good for range of colour.

I love the liquid eyeliner from Body Shop, I haven't tried anything from MAC so far, I don't even dare to try foundation as I'm afraid of getting pimples/acne :S plus I don't even know which colour I should go for...
