my hair gets oily really quick too, i hate it. it makes the crown have less volume and when i straighten my hair, after a couple of hrs it starts to look really stuck to my scalp and just..oily. i use a volumizing shampoo so my hair doesn't loose it's volume from the top but it doesn't really help.

i have the same prob...i have tired everything from basen to dry shampoo...nothin worked for me ....then i heard suave clarifying shampoo for normal to oily hair is really good for oily hair,,,,i tried it n it didn't make any diff,,i wud still have to wash my hair every other day so i switched back to the shampoo i was using before....my sister has the same prob and she uses aussie shampoo and it works for her,,,but it doesn't work for me :-s so u might wanna give it a try....

me too i wash it every other day and my hair fall is tremendous too argh!

Are you using an appropriate shampoo? A clarifying shampoo or one that is for oily hair can help. I use Suave Clarifying shampoo and it helps to control oiliness so that you don't have to wash your hair everyday.

Also, frequent brushing of hair is not recommended because the more you brush.....the more your natural oils get circulated throughout your scalp....making hair look greasy/oily.

Make sure that you're doing the basics such as taking a multivitamin, eating a healthy diet, getting sufficient sleep. The health of our hair and skin also depends upon these fundamentals.
