so we've seen countless threads on perfecting makeup on the face, and on the eyes, i thought it's about time there was a thread devoted to lips! we all know that no look is complete without attention given to the lips. so ladies, share tips that you use for your lipcare, and share your favorite lipsticks, lip glosses etc.
P.S post pictures!

oh why dont you like them ? They are beautiful , really they are.
and i see you dont use liner. Is it out of fashion??? my younger sis said so
somehow I dont feel comfortable without giving an outline to my lips. But now seeing ur lips i am thinking they dont look bad without the outline.

i don't like them because they're too small..but thankyou. i honestly don't know whether lipliner is in or out, i just prefer not to wear it with lipgloss, i think lipgloss looks better without lipliner..on me atleast

^i don't usually get it with lip gloss, i get it when i apply chapstick or vasaline to my lips. if it happens to you when you apply lip gloss, then maybe your applying too much product. try putting on a little less and apply it with a brush. this way you can add gloss where you want to, it doesn't have to be ALL over your lips. in the pictures i posted, i didn't use a brush, i did it quickly so i just slathered gloss on from the tube, and you can see it kind of piled up where my lips meet. that's something that shouldn't happen, otherwise when you open your mouth, you can see the lip gloss sticking to each other- not pretty

To avoid that icky stuff on your lips, or from your lip gloss rubbing off, here is the perfect lip shade application:
Apply a thick layer of vaseline... leave on for a couple of minutes,
Wipe away all the vaseline, this will have got rid of any dead skin and will leave your lips smooth.
Apply a lip liner that matches your lip colour (or the lip shade you wish to apply after, never anything different) and line the lips, then fill in the whole of you lips with the liner. Blot a little.
Apply lipstick shade. Blot a little.
Apply a little gloss by dabbing it on, not painting it on.
Put a finger inside your mouth and withdraw it slowly. Doing so will help you prevent your lipstick from sticking to your teeth and will also remove any excess product.
Et voila, perfect smackers with staying power

Definitely Shabbo! Post your pout without lipstick and also with lipstick. You can also post your lips with mustache and without mustache.

These are my lips, I moisturised my lips then applied lip liner on the outline to stop the colour from bleeding out, then brushed on a red lipstick and finished with nude lip gloss because it had gold sparkles.

You be sweet to me, I be sweet to you.
