chiffon and raw silk

I got different sorts of kaam done on several kameezes and now its time to piece together the rest of the suit i.e. the dupatta and shalwar. Does anybody know the going rate for the pure china chiffon dupattas in lahore? Ive heard such a wide range of prices that i cant differentiate which one is the fake kind and which one is pure.

And what material do you gals think has good fall for trousers/shalwar to be matched with kaam wali chiffon or jamawar kameezes? I was thinking raw silk because its shiny and soft but maybe thats better for shalwars and maybe something less flowy is better for a trouser/capri? Also any idea about the pure raw silk rates?

Pure chiffon is of rs 150 to 250 rs yards/gaz. depending on the gadje/quality of chiffon

Material for shirts : chiffon is good for making shirts n dupattas cuz of its fall plus u can also use raw silk/china silk /jamawar dpending on ones choice

Material for trousers : raw silk/china silk/pure silk

hmm....last year, when i was in Lahore, I bought the dupattas for 175 (the Pakistani chiffon) Imported are expensive though; around Rs. 200-300.

yeah the pakistani chiffon is cheaper. the pure china chiffon is 400+ depending on whether you get 2.5 yards or 2.75 etc.

ugh i wish everybody could have the same rate for basic standard things like these. i always feel like im getting robbed if i pay too much and that im getting second rate material if i pay too little :S really takes out the joy of shopping...i guess i'll learn how not to be fooled with experience and moreeee shopping
