Please ladies, don't buy it! I bought it a while ago and only started using it recently and eventhough I use a small amount each time this foundation turns another shade in an hour and looks shiny in pictures. I have a combination skin but no foundation looked so bad. I'm posting just to save your $40!!!!

Ok, so basically, because you have combincation skin, the natural sebum that is produced by your skin is reacting with the chemicals in the foundation . Thus, the natural oils of your skin are intensifying the colour of the pigments in the foundation.
To resolve this, the best thing to do would be to use a silicone based primer prior to foundation application, or to get a shade or two lighter (i'm guessing the foundation goes darker??) so when the foundation does oxidise, it matches your skintone, kinda.
Waisey, I have heard great things about MUF HD foundation...

The foundation color turns into a very strange shade, it's darker + very shiny and that hasn't happened with other foundations that I've used.
I use a primer but it is silicon-free. I thought silicon free primers were supposed to be better. :S

CA, if you dont match your skin with the foundation, the color of your foundation and your natural color form a completely different shade. Which is why you have to use the same foundation as your skin. Foundation's purpose is to take care of coverage, and not lighten your skin..its not made to that job...its made to cover imperfections. ANY brand of foundation you use, if you use the wrong shade, it will look bad. This is why makeup artists stress upon choosing the same shade as your skin, that way it still looks "fresh" till the end of the night. Why? because it wont "change color"...hope that makes sense.
Thats what she said.

I use this foundation. I got a sample of it along with a sample of a foundation from NARS.
I am going to buy the foundation by Make Up Forever. I wore it over the summer and kept switching between NARS and MUF to see the difference. They are very similar, but MUF is slightly better.
I tried it on a daily basis and find that it lasts throughout the day, which is why I will end up purchasing MUF.
What I noticed about this foundation is that you have to use a very little amount. Other than that, it looks great in photos and in person. I am not sure why you had problems with it CA.

The shade I got is an exact match to my skintone and I had a MUA match it for me. I don't use a lighter/darker shade, I actually love my complexion!

Okay. I will try it without the primer. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I just use a little amount which is 1 press.

I think I should go back to Sephora and have them match the foundation shade again before tossing it out in trash.

i dont use eye cream under my concealor as i find that makes the concealor go in creases esp in summer
as for foundation getting darker... my sister has the same problem
it doesnt happen with me
i dont know if it happens due to sweating or oil productions overtime so she uses one shade lighter in MAC to get rid of this problem
i didnt like MUF HD foundation as it enhanced my dry skin and didnt look as even as i would like it

Ok, I think I figured out why this foundation changed into a weird shade after applying it. I have a clean face with no acne or other problems and I take good care of it by keeping it clean, exfoliating and what not.
Here's what I was doing: wash face, tone it with witch hazel, apply vit E cream, apply primer, apply MUF foundation and then finish with Bare Minerals finishing powder. The last product wasn't working at all. I love my BE products including finishing powder but it seems like it doesn't work with MUF and reacts badly. I tried using baby powder to finish the foundation and it worked perfectly so now my foundation doesn't change color.

High definition foundation contain light reflectors that give a flawless finish. It's best for pictures and mature skin.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

CA: do you wait a few minutes for your moisturizer to absorb before starting your make-up routine? If not then try waiting a bit it makes a big difference

^I do wait eventhough the cream I use absorbs into my skin very quickly and isn't greasy at all. Like I mentioned before, the only thing I was doing wrong was to use Bare Minerals finishing powder over my foundation which kept messing up the shade.
