I'll start ... when I was 13 .. the idea of getting rid of unwanted hair on my face was really appealing!! I had a hair removing cream around .. which I put on my face and then I remember there was a really nice movie on TV which I got into completely and forgot I had the cream on my face ... over 1 hour later when I remembered I ran to the bathroom and washed it off and ended up with black spots all over my face!! It was the most embarassing thing to explain to the dermatologist ... and my parents! I had to apply a really stinky ointment on my face for 2 months to get rid of the spots.
Now your turn....

I was REALLY desperate to clean up my eyebrows one day, (before i had discovered threading) so instead of waiting to get them waxed, i caaaarefully applied NAIR to the stray hairs.
ended up taking off half my brow

I went through a phase of dying my hair, I went from red to dark brown to light brown and then one day I decided I wanted to go blonde. Being the genius that I am, I did it at home. I had ginger hair for 2 weeks, I had to go to a wedding and a dawat...I cried myself to sleep every night until my mum let me re-dye it.

Kurripunjaban I went through a lot of hair dye in my youth... hey it was the *cough* 80's.... you would've looked totally normal with the bright orange hair back then
It seems that these hair removing creams always have horror stories attached to them...

I have another one ... I have naturally curly hair and I wanted them to be straight so my cousin (EVIL) told me to juse wella straight and I didnt care enough to read the instructions and I applied it from root to tip .. when I washed my hair .. big chunks started coming off and I was crying like hell .. and my grand ma didnt amke it any better she stood there crying and screaming .. larki ko nazar lag gai .. and then Ayats from the Quran ... and I swear it felt liek I was about to die or something... then my she opened a bottle of sarsoon ka oil and put the whole bottle on my head .. I washed it 5 hours later and shukar Allah no more chunks came off ... after that I had burnt frizzy hair (literally burnt) for month .. I had to keep cutting it off and let new hair grow ... I swear that was the worst time of my life!!

Wow, you lasses sure know how to torture your poor hair.
I think the only thing I have ever done is apply oxy 10 which resulted in an allergic reation. My face blew up like a puffer fish. I didnt leave the house for 4 days. This was only 2 years ago though. I guess I was a good girl when I was younger. Didnt ever dye my hair or anything.
OMG!!!

lmao oh my gosh these stories are hilarious! angelwings i can just imagine an old lady screaming larki ko nazar lag gai! hahahah
i used gigi's honee wax on my upper lip last year..i was so dumb i had heated it up soo much that it was watery and super hot! i forgot to blow on it before applying it to my upper lip and of course i ended up burning the entire right side of it. i waxed it off immediately but my skin turned realllly red and i put ice on the area but that didnt help. a couple of hours later the area hardened and formed a dark patchy/scaly skin =( it went away after like an entire month

when I was about 14-15 i discovered colored contacts and I didnt know that you should dispose them like after a month or whatever... well I used them up to 3 months and one day it just irritated my eyes really bad... they were itching and everything and I didnt bother taking them off... couple days later, I tried it again... this time for a wedding... I had those things in my eyes probably for 12 hours straight and by the end of the night my eyes were burning and watery...weirdly enough, not much redness.. I went to sleep after removing them only to wake up with one eye swollen SHUT and water continuously coming out of it... I didnt go to a doctor or anything but it lasted a whole 8 days. Worst experience EVERRRR i thought I was gonna go blind!
it's the heart afraid of dying, that never learns to dance; It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance; It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give; And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live.

haha...great stories guppies
umm as for me..i actually haven't done anything like that..lol, but my sister did. A few years ago there was this hype of disprene pain killers, that if u add them in ur shampoo your hair become soft and all. Well, my sister add 10-20 tablets in her garnier bottle..it worked for a week and after that disaster struck..her hair became frizzy and started falling. She stopped use immediately and rushed to oils and plain shampoo..sheesh

I was getting my hair highlighted to a very pretty deep purple/red and I was working and reached the parlour late.. the lady bleached big chunky bits of my hair so the color would penetrate better.. and it was time to close the parlour 9 pm I was left with scary orange chunky streaks!
Worse bit was.. we had a huge party to attend at the Marriot in Karachi.. I was miserable.. and I now, always always get my hair dyed/tinted in the afternoon!
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

About 4 months ago...I read on a website that garlic juice is very good for the pimples/ acne.....then I read another website that mint (Padina) is ALSO very good for pimples/acne...I didn't had a lots of pimples...just a few...but I thought I should use something for the acnemarks....without thinking....I mixed both... soo stupid of me....I thought it will work better...
When I applied on my face it burnt badly!! According to the websites I should wash my face after ten minutes...BUt I was talking to my husband...and I forgot to wash my face....
When I washed my face it was red....I thought it'll be fine next morning..when I woke up in the middle of the night and looked at my face in the mirror....I almost got a heartattack...coz it was like it was burned....And I couldn't touch my face....it hurted soo much....It was really burnt...all the marks...pfff....it took about 1,5 month for my face to recover...
About 2 months ago I waxed my face after a shower....pfff....I didn't had time...so I thought there is not going to happen anything to me.....I don't have a lots of hair on my face...I'm the only one who sees it...no one else..but it was irritating me..coz I saw it...
I had red marks all over my face....I even coudn't talk properly the first few days...all coz of the little wounds everywhere on my face.....espcially around my lips and on my chin...pfff....stupid me!!
