I've been seeing these alot lately, long in the front and slightly short in the back. I heard it's supposed to give you volume...
anybody gotten their hair cut like this?
What kind of hair styles would it suit (thick vs thin, dry or silky, curly straight etc)
I find it really cute but I'm not sure if it would suit me, i have very thin and wavy hair and a round face... most of u probably know what i look like, so i'd appreciate some advice...thanks
also, is it difficult to manage? it looks good when blow dried and straight but what if ur hair is naturally curly or wavy?

I have my hair cut similar to this!
It is usually advised that people with round faces should steer away from bob cuts (or any really short hair cut), as it'll only accentuate the roundness of your face. Although, if you got a bob with lots of layers and texture (one length would make your head look rounder) and maybe a cut without blunt ends (they make a round face look wider)... then maybe it could work...
I would say that the best cut for round faces is some form of layers that frame the face and a choppy fringe (bangs) as they slim the face create the illusion of cheekbones. If you want the bob, try it with razored wispy ends which breaks up the roundness and adds angles where they don't naturally exist. Oh, and get it cut a little longer than what you see in pictures..
Post a pic of the end product, whatever you choose to go with

This style is ideal for oval or heart shaped face. But kelly clarkson has this hairdo for quite some time now and she has a round face.

That is a good example
The ends are not totally blunt, and she has a sweeping fringe also...

i have loved this style for AGES. it keeps coming back into focus every few year. i desperately want to try it but hubby's not too keen.
unless you have straight hair i think it will require a fair bit of maintenance. it only looks good when straight. my cousin has very, very thick wavy hair and it was very long. she got this style and when it was beautifully straightened it looked amazing. however, seeing it just dry after a shower was pretty scary!
my hair sounds similar to yours sara, and i asked my stylist about how he would do it some time ago. he said that i would have to have some non-obvious layering put through to give it volume otherwise it will look flat and limp.

I'm not such a fan of it... it seems hard to maintain and it'd be annoying trying to put that thing up. Dont do it Sara....

agree with the above, unless you have veryyyy straight hair, or have no problem inflicting damage to your existing wavy locks...it wont work...
i would go for a softer shoulder length bob, since the waves shorten the actual length..
*wavy hair looks so much better!
Thats what she said.

yeah , I had it done about 9 months back ... hard to maintain ... I am not too much of a blow dry person ,I have fine and lightly wavy hair ... the look just got destroyed in about three weeks time
Sara, this hairdo looks awful on wavy hair .. I am telling you from personal experience ....

well , I have a friend who has a face line quite similar to yours , slightly broader actually and she got it done long time back .. I thought she looked good in it .. quite stylish actually ... though she had to blow dry them pretty much every day , which i guess is fine if you are used to doing that already .. .. I wish I had pics of her ... but it was some time back ..

I had that hair style and people really love that .
My advice: Don't go for it .Why?
Hard to manage for curly hair as they tend to get wavy n looks bad.
Still you wanna go for that style ??then go for a little long in front ...It would give your face a long and classy look .
but if you can manage blow drying and all that then a change is always good and this really gives a smart ,cool and fresh (younger) look.
