Sorry Tabu, was away. There isn't any specific ratio, just add enuff water to make a paste and leave it on u're nose till it's completely dry and then scrub it off. Baking soda is a very fine exfoliant and might end-up making u're skin slightly red, just use u're regular moisturizer afterwards.
Lots of girls have tried the biore strips, Boots have ones with tea tree oil that work well too.
Facials, once a month and scrub 2-3 times a week.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

omg I want to give facial another go but last time i got it, it was a bad experience. she didn't even do much b/c I had "sensitive skin" which I do, but she could've used something esp. for that. she only gave steam, took blackheads out and put a mask on.
So anyone in NY know a good facial spa or something? and Gina, exfoliatin for ppl with sensitive and acne-prone skin is not good right? what should we do then?
thanks in advance. I'm going try the baking soda and water.

There are scrubs for 'sensitive' and 'acne-prone' skin.. if you have raised pimples then don't scrub. However if they're under-the-skin it's safe to scrub. Pimples are the result of clogged pores..

How about blackheads that appear on cheeks and forehead, can the biore strips be used for that?

i don't understand what purpose the baking soda paste serves. how does it help with blackheads? does it open your pores and somehow remove them?
Everything about you is how I'd wanna be..your freedom comes naturally.

Marwah, it helps in 2 ways.. firstly as they baking-soda dries it draws-out the blackhead from within..and then the manual scrubbing that u do.. removes whiteheads and blackheads too.

Do u have dandruff and does u're hair fall on u're forehead? That causes pimples as well. You must tone or use an astringent after cleansing, everytime! This seals and closes u're pores.
Marwah yes you may use it twice a week..

I use Biore strips and would highly recommend it if baking soda isn't doing the trick.

An astringent is basically a toner that contains alcohol. It's used on oily/acne prone skin.. it's drying so u must follow-up with a moisturizer.

Toners are for people with normal/combination/dry skin.. astringents are for people with oily/acne prone skin. But if u have raw or broken skin or if u're getting any procedures done.. don't use anything containing alcohol.
