remington sell amazing ones! they are affordable as well.
GHD are great but very pricey!
my remington and GHD both heat up to the same temp and work just as well as eachother. i bought my remington one from argos.

i have a chi one here in america. but when ever i go to pakistan it doesn't heat up at all with the electricity converter. my cousin was using remington's iron and i borrowed hers to straighten my hair, and to my surprise, it worked just as well as my chi one, but the effect only lasted for 5 minutes cuz i was in karachi and the humidity didn't let my hair to stay straight for long then few minutes. now i am not sure if my chi one would have sealed the humidity out of my hair and let my hair stay straighten for longer amount of time or not, cuz i can't compare it with remington in pakistan. but when i use chi in america my hair stay straight even on rainy days untill i wash them.

GHD's are reallyyyyy good...once u try them i doubt u'd use any other straightners lol
I bought my GHD's 3 years ago..n they're worth every single penny in my opinion....i'd definately recommend them!

The GHD has no temperature control though? I'm afraid it would burn my hair...

I have like 4 straightners and the best one is CHI. It works really gud at it heats up quite fast my hairs also really frizzy so it tames it , and keeps my hair straight all day. It is pretty expensive but it's better to get something good instead of buying something that doesnt work properly so it's worth it )
