In Love

Salaam Fashionistas.

I need a little assistance. I need as many pictures as possible of these new long frock thingies that are out these days.

Not pishwas - but the flowing frocks - usually in a crinkle material on the bottom.

Thanks in Advance.

I don't think many people know which dresses you are referring to?

Something like this maybe?:

Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.

indian designers made a lot of tent like anarkalis like that when saawariya was newly out and it doesn't flatter a girl's figure so i like the paki take on things as it's top is fitted to the ribs and then flows out. so it's a nice improvement but i dunno it reminds me of when maxi dresses were cool and a lot of short people tried to rock that. i don't think every style is for everyone and i would hope anyone rocking these long flowy dresses would wear serious heels if they are shorter.

Thank you for that commentary -- bohat needed thi.

Jaani my take on the whole situation is - if you like it rock it and it'll work for you.
I don't believe in 'rules' i'm quite moti myself but I never look ajeeb in anything I wear; because I wear it with confidence. Know what I mena jelly bean?

that really is the most important thing, confident women always look beautiful. I wore one for a fashion show some time back and I felt like a whale bc i have a very round face and hated my figure not showing well because the outfit was a tent on me. so not all of us girls feel so confident about our figures and if anyone else is reading this and considering purchasing an outfit like this (especially without trying one on) may want to think twice.

i found this picture and i know it's not as long as the other ones but i found it to be pretty and it was on bargello's website

Worried

Fitting makes ALL the difference. That's what a designer or a good Darzi is suppose to DO for you.

With type of dress above - it matters where the skirt part starts. If you are small busted, the higher you go better it is.

For the more curvy (heavy chested gals) - the kaalis would start 2 inches below the bust line.

The way that the kaalis are cut makes a huge difference too. If you are petite they are cut a certain way - If you are a bit heavier they are cut not in triangle but more of a trapazoid.

** ask your tailor about it. Most fashion students in pak know how to design this outfit for each body type.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
