The main problem is many girls are young when they start wearing it(some are 10 or even younger), so once they hit puberty of course they get interested in girly stuff and then they can become confused about Hijaab, thus they try to compromise Hijaab with their styling(which mostly doesn't work out well). I guess if they were really young, the influence could have been their parents too.

E.g. I know a girl at school who HAD TO wear a dupatta when leaving the house, she was around 11 then now she is around 14 and doesn't wear dupatta anymore, on the contrary she is extremely styled like all those girls, so the force she underwent by her parents didn't achieve anything positive, it just brought her further away from Hijaab.
