Who were some of the most glamorous women you encountered when you were young? I dont mean celebrity...but rather the real everyday women? aunties, mothers, sisters etc. What was it about them that appealed to you, that you liked?

I guess this question can apply for both men or women!

Sweettooth

Hmmm one lady come to mind that I know personally !

That would be my Mom ....I've always admired her style and grace !

Whether it was at home or at a party she always dressed so elegantly and with just the right kind of make -up and jewellery. I used to love watching her dress up for a party as a lil girl and tell her so n so piece of jewellery would be mine when I grew up. And yeah she did give me those when I was older

What I really loved was how she never over-did things , no garish ghastly colours or shades . It wasn't only her sense of style in dressing but how she extended that to her home , she has a flair for interior design and would select gorgeous pieces of art or crystal for the home , so many of her friends would ask her where she got her furniture or her decoration pieces and go and buy the same.

I think I've acquired my taste for being a perfectionist watching her and how she always made everything look PERFECT !........

Guns don't kill people ! Dads with pretty daughters Do !

awww!

the one that sticks out most to me right now, is this aunty whose house we went to to read sipara....she had a closet full of earrings..she had set it up so tht the wires were running across the inside of the closet door and earrings would hang from it. rows and rows of earings, clip ons and pierced ones. On her dresser she'd have lots and lots of nail polishes and lipsticks and blushes and compacts. All swiss miss/etude/wet n wild/covergirl compacts etc. funny thing is she wore a burQa/niqab too.

Thinking

My grandmother, I would have to say. Sari elegantly draped and tucked in all the right places. A touch of powder, some lipstick, and a whiff of perfume. Matching accessories. Everything pressed and neat. Never a hair out of place for as long as I've known her. And most important of all, a spine of steel, the utmost faith, and a kind word for everybody.

By far, one of the most glamorous women I know.

Worried

Shehnaz Aunty - always looked like princess Diana. Very simple but so elegant

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

The most glamorous woman I know is my mother. She is by far the most elegant, graceful, and well dressed woman I have encountered. Her style is simple... she's always well groomed, nails always cut and polished... but there's a certain poise about the way she conducts herself... her attitude... the way she speaks, her walk, her optimism and classiness...the fact that she never has anything negative to say about anything or anyone. Her glamour isnt so much attributed to her fashion sense or even about her looks - because hey there's a lot of women that could be considered beautiful, not many can be classified as glamoros- but more to her mannerisms. She never really gets mad, doesnt get frantic or raise her voice, she's always such a LADY. She is Mashallah such a sophisticated and classy woman, everyone who knows her says that about her.

it's the heart afraid of dying, that never learns to dance; It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance; It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give; And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live.
