my sister going to pakistan and i wanted some new clothes sewn so i was wondering if you all could post some pics of all the fashionable shalwars.
for example-
samosa shalwar
laila shalwar
kumkum shalwar

umm to be honest ..i really havnt heard much about these sort of shalwars ..and these days ...cuelottes, straight pants and capris are in with long shirts  but yea if u still want to go for short shirts and the punjabi look ..go for patyala shalwars..they look really cute .. u knw the ones kareena wore in jab we met
but thats old now !

the samosa shalwar is the shape of a somosa and the pointy bit of the samosa comes in your ankles its really nice but i wanted pics.

Laila is ok... Samosa is yuck... Dhoti is eewww... and kumkum is ok

awww i love the kumkum's because thats what my mom grew up wearing in her medical school days, and she looked like such a cutie !!!

ok iv seen what a samosa shalwar is, but laila shalwar looks like a normal one, how is it different?, does it have a belt?
Also i went to my tailor the other day and he was sewing a kumkum shalwar and it looked nothing like the above one. What about Kajoori shalwar, i think they look nice too.
Does any one have a pic that shows the top bit on any of them? if so please post them as i am also going pakistan and want to get them sewn.

It has a little belt at the top and then its all the pleits coming down and then a little cuff at the bottom of the shalwar that comes in you ankles.
i have got one but i'll take a pic a post it later and also i'll post the kumkum shalwar.

wow .. i have never heard about these before! the laila one looks really wierd to me, i wouldnt wear it, the samosa one and the kumkum one looks fine.
