I've worked with an American makeup company. I have some really good foundation for what we wear here, basic, everyday look, not oily and stays on good.
I got married few months ago and got my makeup done from Sab's in Pakistan. It was extremely good. I know they use a lot of MAC products and I personally believe eye shadows, lipsticks and blushes can be used of different brands as long as you know how to use them.
What I want to know from Pakistani Bridal Makeup experts on this forum is what base do they use. Lately bridal makeup in Pakistan has changed a lot for the better. I love the base they use on brides. What BRAND and what TYPE do they use. I know its heavy for everyday wear but it leaves you with such a smooth skin. I want to the heavy foundation brand they use so I can buy and wear it occasionally. HELP!!!

Try Dermablend or kryalon brands they're heavier

my beautician told me that she uses Kryolan stick on her brides and even use it for party wear make up etc...the stick is called i think TV Paint stick...and i bought one,the stuff is great , u just need to choose the color carefully...u can even mix two sticks to make the exact shade for ur face...

Most use Kryolan, some use MAC stick foundations. Kryolan is VERY tricky as they're pink and yellow undertones and LOTS of colors to chose from.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!

^^ so tell us how to pick colors?!
And are these good for covering dark spots... do you need a concealer under it?

No, a concealer is still required to cover-up blemishes and pigmentation. They have lots of colors, the ideal match is one that blends right in with u're complexion and is neither too light or too dark!

It's too heavy to be using as everyday makeup.. foundation sticks provide full-coverage and are ideal for shoots and weddings.

yes thats what I found out when I went to pakistan. most of the salons for bridal makeup use the 'tv paint stick' by krylon. and also some MAC products.
kryolan i know is also used for theatrical/stage makeup. hence the heavy coverage
i ordered mine at 'danceshopper.com' before my wedding. and i really liked it, i still use it from time to time for parties

nops ladie still all depand on how much u want to use .
KRYOLAN BASES
WET BASE FOR SHOOTS AND WINTER TIME BEST
DRY FOR SUMMER AND CAN BE USE AS ALL TIME
THEN IS THERE MICRO BASE THAT ARE SAME AS LIQUID WE USE WHICH GET SETS AS U USE THEM.
a chinese camolfalage stick is mostlyyyyyy use in pak to cover up dark circles...scars and then these is 303 which is use on fair colour and if u have a pimple red colour type u cove it with this mostly these are use and know as camoflage sticks then comes the base time the stick mostly use are 38+45 these two are use about 75%
then the dry cake or the wet aqua cake ...
then is the translucent powder TL2 is the besttttttttttttttt for gining a refresing look for alll colour again i f u think these things will coat u a lot hey thats professional that we use a very light coat of it but yes on modelssss we need a heavy coverage coz of the cameras and all that coz we are with our models to get there creses move away but for thoes who wen have to sent and don go with them like party and brides we try to do such bases that reduce the chances of creases lesss base with slow hand......
MAY ALLAH BLESS U ALL (AMEEN)

I really like Makeup Forever's cream concealers they're really pigmented and blend easily without leaving harsh lines. Bobbi Brown has great stick foundation which is easy to blend and has lots of colors for a perfect match. Heavy foundation highlights raised acne..so it's best to stick to concealer and a liquid foundation.

Gina, why is it that no matter what i use, liquid foundation, powder, foundation stick etc. i always come out looking like a white ghost in pictures? in real my skin color looks perfectly fine, if anything, i look darker than i actually am in real (because of the makeup oxidizing on my oily skin..another problem!).
Everything about you is how I'd wanna be..your freedom comes naturally.

hmmm isn't bobbie brown for our african american friends or am I a bafoon?
I've tried makeup forever - doesn't cover enough. See I've got acne thats both raises and dark spots.

On the wedding day My MUA used about 2-3 different shades of Kryolan on my face, then blended it all in - worked wonders I was blemish free!
On the walima my foundation was more flawless then the wedding day, but the MUA wouldn't tell me what she used. she even went as far as changing the pots.
for the glowy look I would suggest use strobe cream under the foundation, use loads of shimmer and once makeup is in place go over it with Mac's fix plus spray (applied with a brush).

I've seen some of u're pictures and they aren't 'ghost white'! Makeup oxidizes and goes a shade or two darker after an hour of application. Are u using the right undertones marwah? U seem to have warm undertones like most 'desi' girls and a foundation with yellow undertones would look best on u. U also have Mashallah pretty clear skin..just conceal u're dark circles (if u have any) with a concealer and stick to a liquid foundation followed by a pressed powder from the same color family.
