Most of us dream when asleep. Some lucky ducks get dreamless pitch black nights of good sleep. We all have the capacity to dream. Although only some leave an impression on our mind, and we remember them in the morning. No matter what a dream may be, sometimes one can not just over look the abstract ones. Specially, when they are so close to your own reality. I know many ppl, ignore their dreams. But sometimes our dreams tell us, what we in our awake mode may not be aware of. Pay attention folks to what ur subconscious may be telling u about. Could be important, who knows!

Some of us dream our future. Some of us see people in dreams that we not know off, but later in life end up meeting them.
I for one, have always and always and always dreamt! Mostly good dreams but enormously puzzling! Oh and as for a question Malik asked from previous post, that how I know what person I’m seeing in the dream. See ur answer in the dream below.

It was a rainy Nov cold night in California. I went to sleep thirsty. Though I had a glass of water on the side table, but too lethargic to realize getting a sip from it. Falling asleep, I see myself standing on top of a sand dune in the middle of an afternoon’s scorching sun. Far away I see a man standing in a flowing dark robe… holding something in his hands, that glistened when the rays of sun caught sight of it. The man was of medium height and built. With a kept bearded face, pleasant to look at. He was waiting for some thing, standing there. I kept my distance not aware of why I was where I was. But it seemed like I had to stay there, and keep my presence screened from the man’s eyes. I saw a cloud of dust forming above the dune while the Man was standing at the foot of it. I see 9 white horses approaching with 9 men dressed in black robes and head gears. From their attire the men seemed to belong to the ancient times of middle east. They descended their horses, and gathered around the Man holding the clear water pitcher. I could not hear or understand what was going on. The minute my heart questioned, the identity of the man, I heard a voice relating the answer. The voice said, “What you see before you is the Prophet Mohammad PBUH. The 9 men you see are the leaders of 9 tribes.” Now, I resumed back to concentrate on the distant scene. I see the Prophet (swal lil la ho alay hay wasalam) distribute 9 portions of water amongst the men. When he was done, I still see, there was one more portion water remaining. I started wondering what that was for. As soon as I finished my thought, I see the Prophet (PBUH) pointing towards where I was crouched up on the far away dune. He says, “This last portion of water, which the most sweetest of all, is for you!” I took the pitcher from his hand and drank the water as he urged me to. It was sooo sweet. My thirst was quenched in the dream.
Startled, I woke up right away! The minute I did wake up somehow my mind went point black for a second or two wondering what I just saw, while still thinking that, I also picked up the glass from the side table and drank it. The water seemed like someone has added heaps of sugar in it. I took another sip and it was sooo sweet again. Although by the time I reached the point where I took 3rd, 4th sip in disbelief, the water had returned back to its original taste. But the whole day I walked around holding that sweet taste in my mouth. Strange init?!

So guppies, What was the most strangest, peculiar dream u ever saw that you can not just forget? Lets share guppies…….. what do you say.

Really interesting. Hmm... let me think about this for a while, before I can come up with my thoughts about it

That's not true. Studies indicate that the brain activity associated with dreaming occurs for everyone every time you are in deep sleep.

However, when the dream is not committed to memory, that is when people wake up thinking that they didn't dream.

I still remember my first nightmare. It was I think when I was 4 years old and my family came back from a holiday to Turkey.

In the dream, we were walking as a family through a street in Istanbul when I suddenly fall through a hole in the pavement and into an underground cavern, where's there's a zombie like crearture. Since the dream was 19 years ago, I can't remember any more details...

Yep i dream while dozing. If you mean the one where you kinda fall asleep at work or in school and you're dreaming and then you wake up with a jhatka and youre like WTF i was dreaming!

My fav dreams are the ones where you experience sorta like an astral projection. Thats when you're still in the dream but you become conscious at the same time. Kinda like Neo in the matrix except he knows its not real. So since you know its a dream you can go about doing ANYTHING. The first thing everyone tries to do then is fly. But this moment doesnt last too long and we wake up before we could try anything else. These usually occur around morning time after we've had a good relaxed sleep. So far only happened 2-3 times to me.

This one time i remember i dreamt i'm walkin in NYC when all of a sudden theres this great big flood. Now i'm standing in the middle of the road and i can see the giant waves rushing towards me. That kinda got me scared (and this is when you wake up) but all of a sudden i realized hey its just a dream so lets just stand there and see what happens. So i did. And the waves came and as soon as they hit me the scene changed and the next thing i knew i was in a swimming pool. :-D

alrite; I might aswell tell the whole story considering its got a thread of its own. Well my nana was a regular tahajjud guzaar person, and every night he would be at the local mosque readin namaz until fajr. It was one time whilst in tashahud, he fell into a deep sleep and in which he saw a man by his side, putting his hand on his head and blessing him. When he woke later, he found he was shivering and all feverish. He went straight home, and was ill for a couple a days. It was only a while later they discovered the 'panja' imprint and they put 2 and 2 together.

So there you go, the whole story. There are a couple a more events like this that i can recall, so rare events like these arent really that unheard of in that part of the world.

Dear Ma Mooli… Like all dreams, obviously this may have had some significance in the life of your great Granddad. Allah subhan has blessed this earth with ppl that are special in His eyes. Yes everyone is special, but some supersedes other by the virtue of their deeds and so forth. There is a saying according to some Ulma, that when we are asleep, It’s a semi state of death. Our spirits roam around while our body is in sleep mode :-) When our spirit roams, it comes across entities or other pious spirits of holy people. Sometimes they encounter strange incidents like that one u described. Although I have no idea how to describe the mark that still remained visible to the seeing eye. But that’s what makes it so intriguing that dreams are not just dreams. Rather, sometimes they are more than that!

Maddy, ithna geek bunnay ki zaroorath nahi. Jo pori bio data jhar li. Yes obviously the brain activity does not stops. Hence, we still remain to breath. But what I meant is that atleast those that don’t remember their dreams or the much active experiences of what the brain goes thru at night, wake up more relaxed. Me on the other hand am an extreme case of insomnia. And if luckily I do fall asleep my entire night is a crap load of dreams/nightmares, thus leaving me more perplexed than rested. Capeesh?!

Oh I can relate to early childhood nightmares of urs. But mine has more trauma and drama involved. I used to have this reoccurring dream from the age 4ish to 6ish constantly. Come to think of it, used to be so unbearable for me to recall that to this day I’ve never uttered that out loud to a breathing soul till this day. Rahi tumharay hole mie girnay ki bath… and bumming into a zombiefied creature, tuo that has had a great impact on ur state of mind today. Tum khud us zombie ki foot/nose ki naqal utaar kay hum sub ko daratay ho gup pay. Sudhro! OK jk. I’ll look it up what it means to meet zombies/falling into hole numa caves. Later….

Malik wrote...Im feeling hungry, & Im going for McDonalds...any1 cares to join
Acha, acha ab samaj ayi…apkay teelay pehlawan honay ka raz Mcdonald’s hie. I’m boycotting u. Burger king is better

      Chigi said….

OOoh that’s so much fun. I used to do that. My favourite was having a free fall into an endless abyss of space while I see the stars, galaxies and other heavenly bodies. The flying part is so cool. I always ended up walking (er flying) 3 or 4 ft above the surface of the ground. And have u ever tried like jumping. One jump is so high that you can go cross Australia like a giant kangaroo in three jumps.
That’s fun and good Chigi. But on a serious note (pssst Malik, read on ;-)) has anyone here experienced the same state, yet you are not in control but someone else is. Eg, u see a figure of another human instructing you who is standing before you or giving something to you, and you take from him in the same matrix state. U are awake but u are dreaming. Like ur mind is in a state of projecting images/visions at you that you see forming on the wall before ur bed, but its very hazy and foggy. Grr…never mind I’m not making sense. Okay break time!!!!

Spy guy… if someone is telling u about ur death, it mostly means the opposite. That u’ll have a longer life. I’ll try spending more time later on analyzing ur dream. Lemme do some research However, note of caution. Its unwise to relate nightmares to those that you may suspect aren’t ur well wishers. Prophet PBUH advised against it Don’t worry however, we’re good around here. Masha Allah. Hehe…

      Catch you later gators!

I've only ever had one dream that I remembered recurred, and even that only ever recurred once.

In the dream, I confront an intruder in my house, only to have him pull out a hand gun, aim it at my face and pull the trigger.

In the dream, there is no pain at that point, only a brief, simultaneous feeling of numbness and intense warmth in my head, and then just blackness.

bulls ran over me and the came back to ask me "ab tung karo gai hamayn???"

many a times I woke up and couldn't move my body at all I think my "rooh" was roaming around and something caused me to wake me up and it took a few seconds for rooh to come back into me and in one of those incidents I heard in my dream "kahan tuk bhago gai hum say???"
