This Cat House was launched as beauty parlour and boutique house, then gradually it got converted into dancing club, then night club and then a full blown brothel house. This evolutionary process wasn’t got completed in a single day, rather it took some months.
Many ministers, parliamentarians, bureaucrats, top businessmen and bigwigs of Islamabad were the regular customers and patrons of this sex club of Islamabad. When police raided the brothel house it arrested many naked men and women dancing dipped in liquor telling the stories of enlightened moderation. These arrested top shots included a newly elected MNA from Muzzaffargarh and a diplomat of a friendly country.
Saturday night was considered a special night on the Cat House, and girls were supplied for this occassion from the sex racket in Lahore, and it was a norm in this club. Now the thing is that it’s a common knowledge that such brothels and whorehouses are present in many places of our cities especially in Islamabad, so what does that show? Do we as a society want to have such things? or is it an elite which wants it?

quiet sad at the finding, whenever I hear a disgusting fact related to pakistan.. I sense that filth and dirt reaching over to touch my skin.. and I become a part of it. My family and I migrated from pindi/isloo abt 25 years ago.. (for a better future and life) to USA. But, the affiliation and the feeling of these shackled roots never seem to fade.

I will be visiting isloo the greatest in july/ august.. but am too afraid to explore it further now..

So long as police corruption exists, the state is powerless. Zia-ul-Haq was the first to try to seriously crack down on such establishments.

It failed to end the sex trade - police officers started running extortion rackets, turning a blind eye in exchange for money. Brothels used clients with connection even within Zia's government to remain in business; and most importantly, parts of the sex trade were driven underground where it continued to thrive on girls smuggled in from Bangladesh with false promises of jobs as maids. Which arguably became a greater evil - rather than girls willingly prostituting themselves, there now grew an industry of women being raped for money instead.

Police corruption must be solved first, to enable a crackdown on notonly the prostitutes, but more important to crack down on the men who visit prostitutes, no matter what their political connections are. Well connected clients can wreck any anti-prostitution drive, as seen under Zia.

Corruption at all levels of government should be eradicated. Period. The people who make easy money through corruption use it for spreading more corruption.

Hit the nail on the head

Every now and then, we come across similar stories; some we believe, some we reject; but we never think about for a second, what's the root cause?

I remember seeing a whole program on Heera Mandi culture on GEO a while back.... I was totally shocked with my jaw dropped three feet down, to see a promoting of such on our media level. Is this the enlightened moderation that is introduced in the society by our so-called (or so they call themselves) leaders?

What a leader does become the norm of the society as well... I am a no fan of Z.A. Bhutto but in his times, the govt. based encouragement of wearing Shalwaar Qameez in offices changed the whole society. No one considers shalwaar qameez an inappripriate attire in Pakistan anymore now, while before Bhutto promoted it, it was considered un-professional attire.

Can we change our leaders who can over-haul the system of police and stop the corruption? OR rather stop the corruption at our leaders' level.... Once these MNA'a MPA's are not corrupt, I do not see a reason why police is not corruption free as well...

Sad video; sad story; sad state of affairs. May Allah help Pakistan.
Quite often good things have hurtful consequences. There are instances of men who have been ruined by their money or KILLED by their COURAGE. ~Aristotle
