Yesterday, after coming home from Publix, a chipkali got into my house. She was waiting for me under the door, and when I opened it, she bolted in.

She ran so fast - b4 I knew it, she was up near the ceiling clinging onto my border wallpaper.

I think she's pregnant, cuz she's not moving around, since she got to the wall paper, and she's too high for me to kill or capture.

I think she's going to drop eggs on the floor - right behind the TV unit. I can't move the TV unit to get rid of the eggs.

      HELP!!!!

And NO, I'm not going to touch it.

And I'd feel so bad killing a pregnant chipkali. I killed a pregnant spider once - I'm still feeling guilty about that one.
I believe in dragons, good men, and other fantasy creatures.

Use a broom to capture her. Lure her down and then capture using a cereal box or something. Release far from your door. *smile*

Try and come to an arrangement re room sharing. If she's female she'll probably like the same crappy soaps that you do, so there shouldn't be a problem over hogging the remote.

Anyway, what makes you think she's going to drop these eggs? won't they break if they drop from near the ceiling?

      she's disappeared.

I'm telling you, this chipkali is a GENIUS.

First it bolts in so fast that by the time we look for the broom its well up at the highest point in our house - broom is useless there.

On top of that it goes directly to the beige wallpaper border, where it can camoflauge easily.

THEN it stays there and doesn't move at all, while we're up and walking around. She thinks we 1. cant see her 2. think she's dead or 3. think she's pregnant (eek)

She moves only when the lights go out at night. I've closed all the bedroom doors and stuffed cloth under the door cracks to make sure she doesn't slide thru.

And now today when I woke up, she was....GONE. I dont know where she went. She could be looking at me right now as we speak.

      Assalam u alaiqum
Make Wudhu (with proper intention) and avoid eye contact with any living being/creature... until you aren't done praying salat-ul hajjah n make istikarah afterwards and inshaAllah she shall (if it is decreed) move along/ out of your house, and remember when you go in sajdah in your namaz cry [out of humility]...
ps: might be a little difficult but it's worth it.. and plus it's "tried n tested"..
      Wasslam

There's an Islamic way of moving lizards out of your house?

This religion is full of surprises.
