I was complaining about the dearth of twenty-something males who don't proudly refer to their beer-gut as their "baby". It reveals a lack of self-discipline and pride, in my eyes, especially "getting soft" so young. Oh and another thing, men don't have to deal with the effects of pregnancy.

PyariC you and your holier than thou attitude and your feminism is so annoying. Why is it that every time you post it has to be a complaint against some one. This particular reply, however, tops the list. So what do you guys do, make people take a bathroom ettiquette test before you give them the honour to be your family friends? Hey when can I come over for my test and interview, let in know quite in advance so I can come with loads of you know what.

ouch! oUcH! OuCH! and more OUCH!

I'm with you all on the hygiene part...but what the heck has being over weight have to do with being a bad home maker??? a la quote CH

And Zaalim...your distaste for the obese???...my my my...

Mrz Splendor having kids is no excuse for putting on weight??

You 'people' may all look like you're outta vogue but I don't and neither does anyone in my family, the women have wide rears and the men have their lil bellys, does that make my mom a bad home maker or my dad a lazy retard? My moms so damn clean that you can eat your dinner off the kitchen floor! All my aunts are FAT, yes they have chins on their chins and their bodies look like a tyre tier...but that doesn't take away thier home making skills, nor does it make them smelly or distasteful! They flush and their clothing covers their body quite adequately.

As for you 'supermodels', I just hope somebody still loves you when you can't get past a turnstile!

      Conchita,

Where did anybody say that women who are overweight are bad housekeepers (aside from ChannMahi, who put words in my mouth)? I said two separate things: that the woman was overweight and that she was rude and thoughtless. I didn't say that she was an idiot for not cleaning up because of her jelly rolls.

I'd be the last to say everybody should look like they stepped off the catwalk. There's nothing wrong with maintaining a healthy weight though. I mean, it's not like being healthy is bad for you and it's not like you do it for somebody else. And justifying intentional weight gain and making no effort to get back to acceptable levels again is not really a smart health choice is it?

You said it perfectly Sarah dear...it's a choice...I love ya gal...but this thread had some not so nice words for obese people...I know you were venting about your fat unhygenic aunts, but along the way being fat became a sin somewhere in this thread. I guess I'm a lil touchy when it comes to this, been a chubby kid, and a flabby teen and now a fat adult.
      Peace.

If you've got a problem with my feminism or "holier than thou" posts, do be a man and challenge me directly there.

Also, feel free to drop me a PM about anything.

About the cleaning up after people, hey, if you dont mind cleaning up bodily waste, then that is fine. I have seen countless times unflushed toilets (at milaads!), pee on the floor, dirty tissue papers all over bathrooms at parties i've been at.

If you're offended that I dont wish to clean up another ADULT's bodily waste, then go ahead. Be offended.

I definately qualify as a fat aunty. Having said that I am very neat in others homes.

The thing I dont understand is when relatives come over and completely diss your home and the things in it. Essentially your lack of style. Not everyone has the same tastes.

If an auntie or uncle do something very distasteful in my house while staying over, an elder tries to point it out in a nice way so as not to offend. Sometimes they get offended anyway. However I think its best that one realizes what they are doing, not everyone knows that what they do is offensive to others. Once pointed out, they may change their habit. Plus, if you dont point it out, one party is going to be deeply offended and keep it inside, whereas if you do point it out, hopefully the situation will be resolved, even with some underlying resentment. Just be nice about it. If it gets ugly, *sigh*.
