In this trip to Pakistan, I attended a few marriages, met old friends, family etc…… While talking to a family member I was shocked to know that there children were studying in a modern “English medium “ school and could not read urdu . Moreover they were proud over the fact that there children cant read and write urdu . I found this extremely tacky, pathaytic and cheap.
On further investigation I compiled a small test for them just to gather statistical data of the amount of people who could speak (let alone read and write) correct urdu.

I put this test to u all also , following is a list of urdu words some are (Muzakar) masculine and some are (Monas) feminine .

Please separate the masculine from feminine and find the corresponding mas/fem for each.

      1. Choha
      2. Bhense
      3. Haji
      4. Mohtarma
      5. Randwa
      6. Macheera
      7. Chontee

Lets see whether living abroad has improved or deteriorated your vernacular skills.

Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.

On a second note ......its interesting what broken sky has pointed out ...it is a very typical urdu inferiority syndrome that all of us suffer from .

If Xtreme had written female prostitute no one would have got offended but when he wrote the same word in urdu (*****) it became offensive ...Now why is that?????

It was 100% genuine attempt, I wasn't trying to be funny. Bewa doesn't sound anything like randwa.

we arent doubting ur authenticity or genuineliness, what I wanted to know is why derogatory words when spoken in urdu are found to be more harsh then in english.

btw: words dont have to sound the same to be muzaker to monas or vice versa.
