Hello friends!
how are you all doin?
hope gr8 wait!
Can you give me some advice on how to study for like a major exam?
Let's say one has to read a lot of articles, a fat lawbook and has to know the recent stuff going on in that field. There is a lot of stuff that needs to be memorized in a way that the person can dream it all. In the end the person has to know everything and has to be able to show the knowledge.
Do you peepz had advice on how to make a schedule to study, how to start, how many hours a day and in a library or not?
Advice needed like it was for yesterday.
Please reply quick.
Thanks!
FAsanti

Fasadanti, when I was in University I don't memorize fat engineering books but in a major exam I used to copy from my close sitting class mate. Or I used to have bootiyan to pass the exam. Now after all these years I have pass this information to younger generation. Thanks.

the best way to memorize anything is repete and learn it ***6*** times...differnt times, this helps it stay in your long term memory ...and this is proven scientifically
good luck

Read one paragraph, then close the book , close your eye and try to repeat the most of what you just read, compare it with what is in the book, write it down from your memory after that.
It should work. It is my tried and tested method I used in Pakistan.
By the way why do you have to memorize anything , do you need to comprehend and understand to answer the questions in the exams ?
In Pakistan rote learning is required and needed to get good marks in exam , if you are in Europe then I do not think you will need to memorize anything.

Fasdanti, now if you don't believe in copying and bootiyan then its your choice. But it worked for me.
Anyway let me try a different tact with your major exam, oral tests are much better then written. And trust me Law is most beautiful thing that if I have not done engineering my second choice was law. Get the fat law book, write down all the case in points, now write under each case the incident (this VS this, how it was proceeded in the court, how it was judged by the judge or by the jury, what is the verdict, social consequences, impact on society, if the case was overturned by a higher court etc). I believe the fat law book must have have an index which help you to write the different cases. Please don't memorize anything, a good student never should memorize anything. It comes with experience as you go.
Please write on a neat paper and every page should have one case so it will help you understand not memorize. And please don't say you can memorize anything. Even Johnny Cochran cannot memorize everything, thats why lawyers have notes infront of them. Just do your best, and good luck.
And I hope fasadinat is not your real name? If it is then please continue. Thanks.

thanks for you reply
fasadinat mera naam nahin its fasanti!
wese my law is more financial based and its like just rules that apply etc and not cases.
if they were cases then it woudl be easier but this is a matter of a big fat law book with lots of laws on finance and articles. i have to know all those rules inside out. thats why i thought memorizing was the best way.
I will do my best and Inshallaah i shall pass. but i want the highest grade u know (just for this once
thanks for the best wishes.

I will not use your name because its too confusing. Thanks.
The rule applies the same, write down the financial laws seperately on different pages. Now comes the hard part, reading the articles. I hope you are intelligent and you mark the following important passages with a marker which applies to that rule. And put it down under every finanacial law the required marked passages in a point by point basis. Please don't memorize just understand the concept or the law. If you can understand the financial rule your job will a lot easy.

One good option is join a forum that has people which are giving or given that particular exam. I find it really helpful.Search for forums like that

LBJ = President Lydon Johson. Came after the assisnation of President John F Kennedy. He was the vice president in Kennedy's time. He said this in politics, what I mean to say was that if you don't like the law books get out of the law business because thats all lawyers do.
