      Do you not do that when you leave the rice in water to soak? This removes the starch.

      yeah we already use pure wheat roti, but i read some where basmati rice was good too? so i got confused!

      i've noticed that people from the karachi side eat a lot of rice and their slimmer than the ones from lahore side who eat roti but that could be different factors.

      I would say rice. Check out all the South Indians/Chinese...they eat rice mostly and pretty slim, I would say.
