How are birth control pills available in UAE? Do you need a prescription to get them or are they available over the counter? Also are all the brands available there or just a certain few?

You can get them over-the-counter, you don't get many brands though.

I know 2 brands cus I have used them both. Diane 35 and Yasmin. Both these are gud but pls make sure you do not take them before seeking approval from the gynecologist. Both these are available over the counter and u dun have to show the doc's precription for this...

^ Nope, that's what I thought. I didn't realize you can get them without prescription.

^ I guess, but there are side-effects to these. Shouldn't there be a check up to make sure there's not concern (mixing medicines, heart conditions, other illnesses, etc)?
It's not that hard for the doctor's office to call in and renew the prescription.

There are plenty of BCP's available in Dubai and ALL of them can be obtained at any pharmacy, and without a prescription. Usually girls just use the one that has the least side-effects and suits them the most. However, u can't find emergency contraceptives in the UAE.
Some days are a complete waste of make-up!
