Anyone know anything about the Medifast diet? My BIL had a coworker who was on it for three months and he said she lost about 35 lbs... my sister wants to try it...I dont think 35 lbs in three months is very realistic...opinions? feedback.. anyone tried it before?

I have heard about it too but it would never work for me. I hate food that comes from mail. I would rather make these packages myself. Its just portion control.

looked it up and it seems like you have to phase back slowly into eating other stuff and just cuz teh weight is lost does not mean that ppl go back to the old eating habits which led them to medifast to begin with.

found an interesting blog. results are nothing short of amazing

35 lbs in 3 months means about 3lb/week, which is bad! It shouldnt exceed 1lb/week.

could you post back in a few months and let us know if she's kept it off and how?

Wow! And how is she feeling in terms of energy and general well-being?

Could you share some highlights of this program Riya? Thanks. I know we can go to the website, but some personal how to dos and testimonials please.

WEll its like those other programs where you could order meals and basically it teaches you to eat right. My sister however only used the shakes, and those worked as meal replacements for her. In the morning she had one shake usually between 7 and 8 am... then a light lunch around 11 am compromising mostly of raw greens and a yogurt... sometimes chicken breast...snacks were unsalted lowfat saltines.... fresh fruit around 2 pm.... in the afternoon she had a regular khaana... we're talking biryaanis and all that greasy stuff.... she didnt hold back on that.... dinner was the shake... and an hour after dinner she would just drink milk and sleep.

Ill update back in a couple months.

So basically, it's one regular meal and others are replaced by their stuff such as shakes. Doesn't sound too hard

i was on a similar diet and lost 8kg in 5 weeks... and ive been able to keep the weight off. But you really just need to control your portions.. and change your eating habits. That's all
