my baby is 13 months n he use to sucks and chews my hair before and during sleep.
he cannot sleep alone in his cart coz i have to pat im during sleep if he become restless coz otherwise he wakes up n cry.

what shud i do to save my hair?

n want him to sleep seprately

my cousin was too much attached to her blanket and teddy bear. she wouldnt sleep without them and my aunty had trouble washing her blankets, as she always held her blanket.

so its not a bad idea to introduce your son to any toy that he likes and can hold when sleeping.

it will take time for him to get used to it but he will.

hmmm i give my son a pacifier whenever hes restless and that calms him down and he goes right back to sleep, the sleeping alone was a big issue for me aswell he didnt like sleeping in the crib by him self he would wake up in the middle of the night and start crying but eventually he got used to it after a few days and acutally someone told me to put like a kameez or dubatta or something of urs over the crib side so the baby smells and it thinks ur there... sounds weird i know but worked for me. and for puttin him to sleep try rubbing his head smoothly makes them fall asleep faster so maybe that way he wont have enough time to pul ur hair... hope this helps.

My daughter too pulled my hair when going to sleep. At fist it was cute, she used to play with my hair...then it progressed to pulling and it really hurt too...I would have to remove many strands from her fist so that she would not put in her mouth. I found a shawl which had thin tassles like hair, I guess. Although she noticed the difference and did not like it, i kept transferring her and from my hair to the tassles. After quite a struggle she did give up my hair...Phew!!

You can lay down with him until he is completely asleep, then carry him to his crib and keep a soft pillow close to him so he feels protected. If he wakes up at night, gently stroke his head. He may still cry but don't lift him. Let him fall asleep on his own. It will be painful but eventually he will get into the habit to finding another source of comfort.

^i lay down wid him but on that time pull my hair n put them into his mouth n then again pull them by his mouth, n sumtimes i also keep a pillow at his side but he just like suddenly sit down n again fell down on the otherside of the bed, sumtimes he starts crying n never fall asleep until i dont lift him.

Kids have strange habbits.My 21 month daughter keeps her hand inside me sleeve when she is sleepy.If she finds it difficult to put her hand inside then she tries my shalwar paicha It's funny and embarrasing also.

As Niksik said, let him fall into a deep sleep and then carry him into his cot. My daughter has been in her own room since she was 7 months, and inititally we would just put her in her cot, close the door and she would fall asleep on her own... its only know that shes 20 months, she wants to fall asleep on the sofa first and then we carry her into her room. Mashallah, she hasnt ever really given us any trouble in regards to sleeping.

I'd introduce a comfort toy as well. We've got one for my daughter... however she is insanely attached to him. We cant even go to the shops without him! But, whatever keeps her safe.. im happy with

another thing... u could always put in a good routine at the end of the day.. like bath time, then sit down and watch his fav movie/cartoon or read a book.. and he'll just nod off... works for my daughter
