You can try Midol or extra strength Midol. I worked with a guy who suffered from a severe form of migrane called cluster headache and his neurologist told him to try this and it worked better than anything else he tried.

I've heard that applying a paste of ground clay or ground sandalwood to the forehead does help in giving relief from migraines..
Success starts with beginning...

Coffee is a big no-no for migraines. It constricts the blood vessels and restricts blood supply to the brain thus causing headaches.
To control migraine attacks you need to take Vitamin Bs (especially B2 - Riboflavin) and magnesium supplements.
During an attack probably ginger is good.

I have horrible migranes sometimes, with nausea, thank God its not that often, mostly it depends on the weather, if it gets cold/warm too fast all started after the birth of my child, I don't know what to do, I just try to lie down and close my eyes, nothing else helps at that time .

Is it possible that a person who normally takes a B-Complex & multi-vitamin combo may experience migraines if they stop taking it for a while?

Yes it is possible. More so B Complex as that is the main nutrient to help with the nervous system and therefore migraines.
Vitamin B along with Vitamin C are water soluble vitamins. They are not stored by our bodies and flushed out of our bodies through passing urine. We need constant supply of these. So if you have stopped taking Vitamin B Complex, this probly means that the intake of the Bs was actually helping you with your migraines and now obviously the body is deficient in this vitamin.
Just on a side note...vitamin B & C are best taken in a Prolonged Release (PR) formula. This means the body releases these vitamins throughout the day in short intervals...as opposed to in one burst and then before you can make full use of the vitamins, they are excreted by the body.

I have had migrains since I was 11, they are very frequent and very bad, I have all the symptms.... vomiting, light, noise ect...... I have tried everything (diff tablets, injections, waffles and nasel sprays) and have had tests done.....
B4 the theory was that migrains get triggered with certain food eg coffee, cheese, choclate ect but now they have relised that it may not have anything to do with these.....
Now the only thing that works for me is having 2 cocodomols (the stongest ones) and goin to bed for afew hours.......
You shud speak to your doctor see what options you have... there are certain tea's that you can get from herbal shops or the chines herbal shops that helps...

How often do you get your migraines? If they're pretty frequent (2-3x/week or more), your doctor might be able to give you amitriptyline or propanolol to prevent them.
Otherwise, motrin helps a lot of people...especially if taken with caffeine. If over the counter medications aren't effective, your doctor might be able to prescribe imitrex.

Cluster headaches are a unique type of headache different from migraines, and are treated differently. I'm actually surprised that he responded to midol (which is basically motrin + caffeine + an antihistamine)...usually, cluster HA patients don't respond to over the counter pain meds, and are treated with oxygen inhalation.

Caffeine is actually one of the most effective non-prescription medications for migraines, and is included in several over the counter headache medications. It is theorized that migraines are caused by the inappropriate dilation of blood vessels in the brain...which is why the constriction caused by caffeine and several other agents used to treat migraine attacks helps relieve the pain.

Paracetamol never works for me instead Midrid works for me, however I find te best answer is lying in a dark room, or sleep (if I get enough time)

If you've tried finding out if there are any triggers, then just treating yourself appropriately with the help of your family, may be the best option.
