Try drinking lots of water...you should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces per day(per Dr Oz)
Do you do mouth wash too? If those do not improve in a week...Definately see a doctor,...you dont need to go see a dentist...your regular doctor would be just fine.

Doesnt it numb the ulcers after the initial burning
Have you tried orajel?
Also you have to drink lots of water to see if it helps
Spread the number of glasses all through out the day.

is it whitish....
http://www.andoverdmd.com/images/canker-sores.jpg
it could be canker sores. they hurt always when u eat some chilly food... if they are whitish and they hurt alot they take 4-5 days to heal.
buy some numbing medicine over the counter ...
the cause for canker sores could be stress, something which doesn't suits you. for me using any kind of mouthwash results in canker sores, toothpaste like crest... i using arm and hammer toothpaste...

They can also be caused during times of stress and depression....so avoid stress!
Drink lots of water.
Over the counter creams never really work for me but if they do for you ...great! Otherwise try these in no particular order..or all at the same time.
Gargle with hot-ish salted water. (water with salt in it)
Eat a phaki ( your mum porobably has one in her cupboards which she's always telling you to eat)
A dispersable paracetomol. Let it disperse in the water and then just drink the water. Make sure the water touches all the affected/effected areas!!!
Hope this helps!

Hi
Try some over the counter topical numbing gel, suitable for oral use. I would suggest you must go and seek your doctor's opinion. There are numerous numerous illnesses, which can even be multi systemic, that cause ulcers in the mouth. Treating a symptom temporarily won't be of much help in long run. Please see your doc at the earliest, get it diagnoses appropriately, you might not even need a dentists' review at all.
Good luck !

It might be related to heartburn or acid indigestion, because i use to get something like that. It was due to acid build up that came right up to my throat and into my mouth.
Doctor prescribed me acid indigestion tablets which really helped.
Top tip is to avoid spicy and chilly foods.
And drink a glass of cold milk before bed time.
I hope this information is some use to you otherwise ignore.
