he's right. arabs usually intake it in its raw form over tahini or in their sauces. italians use butter for baking. traditionally desis have also only used clarified butter (ghee) for cooking. pacific islanders traditionally used coconut oil for their cooking needs.

as for those countries u mentioned not using it in their cooking, they probably prefere to sell it to America.....
