My friends eye site is weak its -ve 7. He is planning to make eye laser treatment. Please suggest any good hospital, clinic or doctor which is of world standard in Lahore.

yes in lahore there is a hospital in Garden town. head doctor is Doctor Lateef.i forgot the name of hospital.but u know abt Hameed Lateef hospital ?it is very close to it in the same lane, this eye hospital is at the back of a marriage hall i think its Prince marriage hall.
i had my laser treatment from doctor lateef 4 years back.

I got my done from American Laser Vision Center in Lahore. Thats a nice good famous place.

Where is your friend? In Pak?

fazeelat and FairyTale, please share your experiences with the procedure so far. Are you happy with the results? Would you recommend it to others? Did you go back for further treatment etc or any other issues???

I did mine in Jan 2007. Its good till now. I use a lot of computer coz I have long working hrs at office and then at home too I use it for extra hrs. And i know its not good for my eyes but well cant help it

What my doctor told me there are no harmful side effects neither in short run nor in longrun. The maximum harm it can do to you, can be that you may start start using glasses again as you are doing now. But thats just the MAXIMUM thing that can happen to you. He said he will not promise a life time gurantee nor any doctor will do for any kind of treatment.

Also he said it depends on your current eye sight too. If its tooo weak, prolly you will go back to use of glasses in few yrs . but if its like around -3.5 , its works really well. Do not go for this treatment in your teenage. Do it when you are 24-25.

I didnt go for any further treatment so far. The pain after treatment was just for 2-3 hrs n that was bearable. Then u take pain killers and you never feel anything at all. For few days you need to avoid to look at light directly. So they advise u to be in dark room, with lights off for frist few days n no tv watching etc. You use some eyes drops for about 2 months and thats it.

But above all is about the treatment in Pakistan. I am not sure if it is diff in other countries.

I also had mine in sep 2007 from Medicare but the doctor who did it sits in national hospital dha.the only problem I had since then that my eyes have become sensitive to dust .

well i dont have any problem though....i had my laser treatmentt almost 4 yrs back.n till now alhamdullilah my eyesight is perfect.

How much they charge you? Did they make both eyes at the same time of there is a gap of 7 days.

For me both eyes on same day. My eye sight was -3.50 left eye and -3.75 for right eye. I guess i paid Rs.20K or 25K. After treatment went to see doctor once after a week or so as he said so. There was one more appointment after a week but I couldnot go as I had to come back to Abu Dhabi. I told him before hand and he gave me his cell number in case of any query.
